well now that i have got the feel of this game.. i love it..
im trying to not get lost like i did last time.. lol.

im trying to do the blacksmith quest so where do i find pig iron?

as the game progresses will you find better armor/weapons (from monsters) and stuff to allow you to fight bigger monsters or will i have to buy it ?

since im a venomancer what is the best weapons for me to purchace?

im thinking about making another character under a different type (in a venomancer) how do you like the winged elves?

and how do you use the hp/mp postions that i hold in my inventory when i need them?

thanks

One of the really annoying features are those ground spawns. Check the beginners quest list(s) in the quest forum, they should have a list of locations around your starting town.

I never bought anything, yet. Sometimes it takes a while, though. I got that lvl 1 quest reward hat, and just recently replaced it with a lvl 4 hat, for example. In between, I simply didn't find any hats. I did find a few helmets, though --- but I decided to be a robe user.

You get items from quests, and you also get stuff from monsters.

No idea. I use what I get from monsters or quests, but I'm not a melee user...

Haven't used one yet, but it should work like in every other game: doubleclick them, or move them to the shortcut bar.

I was referring to fighter-style classes. "Melee" = close range, as opposed to "ranged".

In most(?) games, melee-style classes depend a lot more on "good" gear, simply because they go face-to-face with the monsters. Ranged classes are trying to stay away from the monsters (which, obviously, is why they are called "ranged" :-)) and usually have skills that support "keeping the distance" and to kill fast.

I don't know how gear-dependent a melee Venomancer is, though. I'm trying to make a mage-style Venomancer, and so far I simply haven't felt the need to have the "best possible gear" at all times. Therefore, I can just use whatever I find, and replace it only when I find something better. No buying, yet.

    EDIT: Finding locations...

Difficult way: check your mini map display, and walk around until the location displyed there matches the one you need.

Easy way: one of the buttons on the mini map window opens a "Coordinate assistant". Enter the coordinate you are looking for, with the two numbers separated by a space ("100 200", for example). Hit return, give it some name. You'll then get a blue arrow point into the direction you need to go.

melee is hand to hand combat. since your are a veno your mostly a ranged attacker with a bet for melee. player manufactured items generally are better then store bought. to find quest turn in locations open the quest box (by pressing the key "q"). from the quest box it'll tell you the cord to then in your quest. if you can't find the cord... simply enter the cord on your gps (the button at the lower right corner of your in game mini map).

Much of it is going to depend on how you want to play your venomancer, probably the most common build for PvE is a mage build.

Most of the Venomancer skills require either Magic Instruments (Mage type weapons) or Fist weapons.

In addition if you have a good pet, and play it smart you are not going to be using your own weapon nearly as much as your pet.

note: anything above is simply 'My' opinion
Perhaps the greatest secret to getting along with others lies in learning to respect their opinion(s) even while you disagree with them.

For the pig iron I've found that just by doing other quests I keep running into the piles of iron. My first character I went out looking for it and it took me forever to find it but after that I was finding quite often just going about doing my other quests.
