For absolute best support, with no intention of soloing. I'd say pretty much 90-85% wisdom. Just enough str for your armor everything else wisdom. Or possibly on occasion some vit could help you a bit from the occasional crazy AoEs.

as for buffs, pretty much all of them are EXTREMELY helpful in certain situations.
Vangard, Magic shell, Spirit's gift. All are extremely valuable to have maxed as early as possible.
Celestial spirit seal... you can max it, and if your going pure support you'll probably have the points, but IMO it's 1. the most expensive buff to get, nearly double the spirit of other skills, and 2. The least noticable, when your burning 200 mp a second, are you really going to notice an extra 10 back? Not to say it's useless or dosn't add up, but it's also negated by focus powders and other commonly used items, and you can REALLY upset a team mate who spent 3k on a focus powder, and you just overwrote his 50 mp a sec with a 5 mp a sec buff.

Quick extra tip for a starter cleric. You'll see it 500 times on this forum. DO NOT, waste more then 1 rank on blessing of the pure hearted. Iron heart heals more, casts faster, and many people don't realize at first but ironheart stacks, more times you cast it faster it heals.
