you can sell to any npc with an option to view merchandise list

that includes tailor blacksmith craftsman apothecary and merchant, and also some others like master of synthesis (or whatever he's called in this version...)

if it is a less common item you're selling and you wanna try and make some serious money for it, you can press E and click 'Consignment Shop' to set up a little vending booth. make sure u check how much ppl are selling stuff for so you can get an idea of the competition, then set your items and prices and go afk for a long time... it can take awhile..

lastly, as an alternative to the consignment shop you can buy+sell items from other players using the auctionhouse in archosaur. i really don't know the details of how this works and i think there is some kind of tax... so... consignment shop is the best way to go for selling mats/dq. good luck
