    Vendor trash.

    As far as I can tell, the big and reliable predictors are that Equipment will always have stats, Item Quest (Banker and Dragon Quest) items will always have a blue text listing their target level, Gems are (well, obvious), and Crafting Items will always talk about their use in crafting and what tier in yellow text. Anything else that does not indicate its purpose and is dropped is usually vendor fodder.
