Question on the seals

For the most part I've made my cleric a pure FS cleric, generally team up with a BM or Mage, I'm nearing my 40s now though and looking into the idea of other ways to help a team mate in 2 man parties, but still my style has always been to have someone else do the actual killing.

So I'm looking into seal skills.

First of all, what's the difference between sleep and paralyze?, is the only difference between these skills the duration and which setback hits you, or is there a difference between these states?

Second is on elemental and dimensional seal, how much more damage would I expect my wizard or blademaster to be hitting? Is it noteworthy on most enemies, or just throwing away spirit?

paralyze and sleep are 2 different stats
Paralyze will just stop your enemy from moving but he can still attack/heal/cast
Sleep is a sort of stun, your enemy cant do anything at all but the effect wears of when the slept one gets damage
elemental and dimensional seal are ok to get more dmg out of your party but u wont use it on every mob because it uses Chi (and its often not even helpful, doesnt matter if u need 4.9 or 4.1 hits for the mob to die its still 5 "real" hits)
so the places u want to use them are bossfights or PvP where u need to maximize the damage to kill your opponent faster
