Character Names on New Server?

OKay I went to get my names on the new server, and granted since it just came up I would have expected to get at least 1 off the other servers that I already have. Some of them are pretty rare. But it told me every one of them had been taken already.

SO are names from the other servers not allowed to be used this server?

    All of my unique rarely stolen names are taken aready to. I think you might cant have names that are aready in Heavens Tear or both Heavens Tear and Lost City.

    Yep cant have same name from Heavens Tears ONLY, just tested it.

    Indeed same here had to change all my names, but ahh well. Seems the naming database is tied to all servers not to each server. Kind of sad really.

    Not all, just from PVE server "Heavens Tear". I'm assuming for new PVP server it will be from Lost City.

    Just tried, I have the same names on the first two servers, but can't make them on the new one. They've always been names unique to me, always. So as suggested, the new server is probably tied to a database of sorts!

    It's probably because later on character tranferts will be possible from one PVE server to the other.

    With some limitation on maximum level I guess. A bunch of higher levels would rule the server if they were allowed to move on it too early on.

    Thank god!

    It would be so childish to steal other players names and abuse it on a new server!

    So thank god, that we cant use names from other servers!
    This game is getting more & more Hostility each day.

    You already can use names from Heavens Tear and Lost City.

    Just not Heavens Tear and Sanctuary,

    Luckily I have all my names on both PvP & PvE servers since I didn't know where I would end up.

    Same here... except I got my name in Lost City too. I think that they don't let us have the same names in each of the PvE servers in case they have to do a server merge later on.

    On the bright side, this means that they're doing well enough that creating an extra server was a valid and reasonable idea.
