PvP and PvE

Since I started I never heard of the term PVE? What is the dif between the PvE server and the PVP?
I know player versus player so is PVE, meaning like... where you dont PVP? lol?

    The only difference between the PvP and PvE servers is that on the PvE server you have a little button that allow you to choose if you want to PvP or not.

    If it's tuned off, you cannot attack others and others cannot attack you. Your name stay blue.

    If it's turned on, your name turns white and you can attack others white names players, and others white named players can attack you. You cannot tuirn it off again until 10 hours have elapsed in game.

    In events that requires PvP to be on (arena or territorial wars for exemple), the PvP option is automatically turned on unpon entering the instance.
