Ironheart Blessing Stacking?

Hi,

So someone told me today that ironheart blessing was the best healing spell to use on bosses. I came from WoW, so in my mind, ironheart blessing is like renew, wellspring surge is like flash heal and blessing of the purehearted is like that long big heal.

So, I am seeing clerics spamming the ironheart blessing. Does it have a stacking effect or something? If so, how many times can it stack and what kind of incrementation does it have on the healing over time?

Is wellspring surge and blessing of the purehearted both worthless to have in this game? I tend to use wellspring surge to spot heal party members as we're approaching to a boss most of the time (in other words, on trash mobs).

Any helpful tips/advice would be great.

Thanks!

Lemme try to say it in WoW terms, since you get those. I used to main a healer in PW MY version for a while.

Renew here stacks infinitely many time. Glitch? Maybe, but it does and people accept is as anecessary part of the game. Might max out at about 20 or so, but I've seen it stack so much times it was seriously healing a lot, to the point of overheal. You don't see it as separate stacks like HOTs on WoW, but the numbers healed really go up the more you use it on the same target, so it does stack even if it's not actually shown. Alsoeach sucessive applicaton stacks and keeps stacking and healing. Pretty sure if you never let it end, the effects will just stack and keep healing more and more per tick the more you use it, but this statement I'm not sure about.

Heal/Greater Heal is worthless here, not like in WoW. By the time the first healing spell goes off (Heart something), your tank could be dead. The stacking of Renew and spamming Flash Heal (Which isn't as expensive here, given how WoW trades speed for costing more mana and this doesn't) as needed heals faster than waiting for the very long cast time of this spell, even though at a comparable level it looks like it would heal like Greater Heal would, the cast time kills it. Four whole seconds to use. For a starting heal that is supposed to be decent and easy to use, the skill is just ruined by it's cast time.

Just use the HOT and Flash as needed until you get the other heals, which pretty much work as they say, and are actually useful, unlike Heart.

    Good luck.

it stacks 4 times, so spamming it quadruples the HoT rate at all times

I wouldn't discount purehearted completely. While ironheart and surge are much, much more effective for nearly all situations, purehearted does cut down on downtime between battles substantially. That having been said, you have other skills that'll cut away at your spirit and gold after surge and ironheart (two of your most important heals) so much that you probably won't level purehearted too much...

Most of the higher level clerics on the older versions of PW discount pureheart as little to no use for the reasons stated by bron.

And technically yes, you consider that it casts every 2.5 seconds or so (given cool time+ cast time) and it stacks infinitely...but each stack has it's own timer and the first cast runs out after approximately 4 casts. However, this is why people take more than one cleric into instances because each cleric can cast and they have their separate stacks. Technically, 4 stacks each makes for 8 stacks with 2 clerics, etc. Hence the "infinite" stackability which makes ironheart one of the most used heals in the game.

so if ironheart blessing stacks my question is:

does STREAM OF REJUVENATION (learned at lvl 49) stack too?

Iron heart's cool down cast time etc are all 1 second. so technically it is cooled down as you finish casting it, and assuming 0 lag, could be stacked 15 times by 1 cleric. Realistically probably 10-12 factoring in lag and such but still alot more then just 4.

As for stream of rejuvenation. while I've only played around with this one slightly it does seem to stack. however to catch up to HP/Time of ironheart it will have to reach level 4 of the skill, so I'll be using mostly ironheart until level 61.
