You'll need more than 1 socket stone per item iirr, so it could end up costing quite a bit.

your best bet is to use ingame money if ur poor like me and get socket stones the cash shop is to expensive i think and the amount of stone u will need to make 1 socket varies like my Lv. 5 weap costs 25 socket stones wich is kinda lameb:angry

Just like most things from the cash shop you can buy it from other players who have spent RL money on it as long as you can afford the steep price. Personal theory though until your lvl 50+ and can actually benefit from the really high bonus gems in your lvl of armor/ weapon its not really worth paying to socket something if you craft one or buy one from another player already socketed its a nice bonus other wise not worth it.
    Whys the rum always gone:eek:

you buy socket stones from the botigue you get like 15 for 1 gold and you get the gold buy buying in with coins if youre poor like most ppl lol but it cost like 165000 coins for one gold so it gets expensive lol.

try again Twinkes :)...third time will be a charm...not Stocker...not Stocket...they are Socket Stones...

and previous posters are right on...you can buy stones with ingame coins from the "cat shops"...but the story doesn't end there...lol

once you are proud owner of a socket stone, you want to rush right to the Boutique (not Bountiqe Twinkes) and get that second socket to make your weapon or armor glow...right?

wrong...lol...first glance at Boutique after you add weapon (or armor) to window you notice a message that says Maximum 2 stones for weapons...and 4 for armor...

since i wanted second socket for a weapon and i had just paid 19,000 coins for one, i went back to same "cat shop" and bought another...then back to Boutique...and...guess what?

Now i notice a bright red number (70) in the box...so i change weapons to one without any slots and the bright red number changes to 30...

so the sad part of the whole story is now i have 2 socket stones...and i really need 70...but 70 x 19k is 1.39 million coins for one socket to a level 7 sword...chances are i could spend less than that on materials and make a sword with two sockets to begin with...roflmao

    ah well...live and learn :P

p.s. anyone want to buy 2 socket stones...real cheap??? :)

Ok, i'll avoid the puns and try to keep this simple

-VERY IMPORTANT, BEFORE you do any actual purchasing, visit your local PWI boutique agent (location below) and choose the adding sockets option, then place the item in the small box like you were to add sockets to it, you will see the exact amount of stones needed to add a SINGLE socket to it, which increases with the item, for example a mountcrasher plate with 3 sockets will require 1,000 socket stones to add a SINGLE socket (scam), while a gorenox vanity with 1 socket will require 2,000 to add a second one (bigger scam)

-Socket stones can either be purchased from the boutique, from other players or "manufactured", i recommend this last method

-The "manufacturing" method is buying perfect tokens of luck, that are quite abundant right now because packs are on, around 11-12k each on dreamweaver

-Check the PWI boutique agent in your local town or the gift exchange forge at one thousand streams city, the most commonly used PWI boutique agent is the one next to west archosaur banker

-Choose the "gift exchange" option, you will stumble upon a menu that tells you how many tokens you need for each of the gifts, choose socket stones and craft, you will need 19 tokens to craft 20 socket stones, so it will cost less than 11k per stone

-Finally, close the gift window and talk to the agent again to add sockets to your piece of gear, i've personally never added sockets to anything, then again i purchased most of my equip at AH already gemmed and socketed till around lvl 80, when i started crafting myself, if you decide it's worth it, then give it a shot, otherwise don't bother
