Max your pyroshell and glacial embrace. Leave stone barrier alone.
Level crown of flame, level morning dew to max (Healing is very important.)
Level pitfall, max dragon's breath asap.
Earth mastery is more important then water mastery since there are more earth attacks then water attacks.
Don't put yourself on restrictions as to when to level up a skill.0 -
Umm are you kidding?
Pyroshell is practically redundant since a simple health pot could easy out-heal that. Stone Barrier is so much more important in pvp because of the abundance of blademasters and archers that will **** you over if you don't have any physical def buffs like this one that DOUBLES your physical defense when it's maxed.
Glacial Embrace is a pve skill, if you think u need it, level it. If you're not having too much trouble keeping up with mp, don't worry about it. Stone Barrier is the MOST important of all shields if you wish to go pvp.
Crown of Flame i believe is personal preference. It does less damage than your Earth DoT though, so i would not level it.
Morning Dew has a 4 SECOND CHANNELING time. It is practically useless in pvp. Level it as you need it in pve grinding. But you won't be using it much when you get to higher level AoE parties with clerics in the team.
Pitfall is your other Earth DoT. I wouldn't level it because of the weak effects that go with it.
Dragon's Breath is important if you want to grind in AoE parties later on. Level it based on guide.
Don't worry about the masteries too much. Level them slowly and max them out in the later 70s and 80s. They will only be entirely useful maxed at 20% more damage.0 -
Sandstorm is an incredible, heavy hitting spell that is very nice for when archers are close to half HP but don't have their heiro ticked yet. In that situation, a sandstorm crit will 90% of the time kill them, and they won't have their heiro tick because they will be dead. Very nice strategy, I employ it when I can't seem to kill them after heiro break.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Selfish blood runs through my veins. I gave up everything for fame.

hi im a light armor mage since lvl1 building up str,dex and maq...
i have beaten arcane mages at same lvl as me...
HOW??? cause i did more crics in dmg than them because my dex is high but the cric chance is as low as 3-4% >,< thus being careful i dish out some good maxed spell :P0 -
I just noticed... you copy/pasted your response... are you just trying to build posts or do you really just have nothing good to say?0

ehh... what?0 -
i got a real good idea..just lvl them all.You will eventually get the cash..the spirit etc..so just lvl them all. This is a rpg not a boxing match so just work on lvling all your skills and be a jack of all trades instead of a king of nothing.
Hurray, at least someone has logical sense. Besides wizard's can grind like crazy and accumulate pretty good spirit0 -
What do you consider an arcane mage? If they use elemental based spells instead of um???? Or do you consider an arcane mage by being pure int?0
-
ok, so I love magic based classes and love PvP, before I choose between the wizard and venomancer I have a quick question; are wizards any good for PvP in this game?0
-
yes.. but every class has its strengths and weaknesses when it comes to pvp0
-
From what I know of the venomancers, the only different between them and the wizard is that the venomancer has more DOTS than the wiZard does.0
-
@Rapth, an arcane mage is one that uses arcane robes instead of light or heavy armor.
@cerryl
-A hybrid veno (light armor, fox tree and magic tree) can be a very formidable class to spar with, but since you're emphasizing the magic end of the stick, as a veno your main tactic will probably be to just send in your pet and spam venemous scarab (kiting if needbe).. no different from pve. The DoTs aren't particularly useful for pvp.
-If that sounds boring and you're looking for something difficult to master, prepare for a challenge and take up a wizard. Lots of skills to play with, longer channel time than the other two.
-If you want to have the soloability of the veno for leveling, but an easier time with pvp and more useful skills at lower levels, look into an attack cleric. Physical + magical ranged hits & self buffs with debuffs for your opponent./Haiku/ -- Cognitive atrophy at its finest.
No longer the mistress of being ohko PK'd.0 -
Okay thanks. I might have to look at my character to see what kind of equipment im using. I did not really realize that there was a difference when I was shopping for new armor. Justusually go the highest physical defense.
But when you mean arcane robe, like is that the torso armor? Is there a full set of it, or is your type of armor just determined by that one peice of equipment you wear?0
