Unable To Connect To Server -- WHY?

It lets me download the game, download updates/patches, and even choose which server I'd like to play. But when I go to log in, it tells me that it is Unable to Connect to Server. WHY CAN'T IT CONNECT TO SERVER? I have tried everything I can think of to try and get it working but nothing has actually worked yet! All of my friends can get on, just not me. PLEASE. Somebody help me. All I want to do is play the game. :mad:
