Lost in building my ideal WF

In short, as stated in title, I'm lost/confuse in building my ideal WF.
Ok, I'm currently trying to build a WF that uses only the melee skills in WF skills tree. Yes, that means I'm completely forsaking magic (range) skills and going in fox form. Some of you might think I'm insane, yea it took me quite a long time to made the decision to just doing only melee. I just wanna see the outcome of it, despite knowing the disadvantages.
Anyway, what I'm currently doing now is focusing majority of my stats points to Str and capping my int to 66 for using only lvl 22 (if I'm not wrong) gold magic sword. Yea, I know by doing that I'm **** my pet heal but nevermind about that first. Currently, I'm lvl 30+ wear heavy armor set.
The problem I'm facing now is I found that I die easily when going against magic (well, that is of course looking at my int). Right now, I'm thinking should I add stats point to vit or should I add stats point to int making it 3x my lvl as recommended by some.
If I were to add to int, I will become a hybrid fox which I can use magic (range) spell wearing heavy armor?
If I were to add to vit, I will have become (I'm not sure what will happen) ?
Right now, what do you guys think I should do?

even if you're fox build you should still have a pet tank.
WF dies easy no matter what the armor anyway[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yea, I do have a pet golem. What I'm confuse is what should I do to increase my magic def?
Should I add stats to vit which can increase both magic & physical def along with hp?
Or, should I add stats to int to increase magic def instead? However, that will make me hybrid which I originally do not intent to be one, but if I have to I guess I have no choice then.
I heard others recommend making your int to always 3 times your current lvl for heavy armor build, what if I make it 2 times instead? Seriously, in my current condition, I think I would get killed with just 1 shot of magic.0 -
Well as far as I can tell, there's no way to keep Int at the required level for Magic Weapons, while still having enough for Heavy Armors. You simply can't do both at an acceptable rate, unless you scrimp on one and accept being behind on either weapons or armor.
If you want to have any kind of Mdef, wear Mdef necklaces and belts. Also make stuff with a lot of sockets and find some stones that give all types Mdef, if they even exist. If you're on the PVP server, PM me for my info and I could make you some stuff maybe with lots of slots, if you get me mats for it. I'm a level 3 Tailor.
What you could to if you want any kind of Int, is go Light Armor but, and continue to melee like you want (Don't be a dummy like some people I see aorund who don't use a magic weapon, though, because that means you can't use any skills mid fight) and play as a Fox all the time for added Pdef. Light is a hybrid build that can (potentially) use both sides of the skill tree eventually (When there's points), and is the accepted balanced build, which a lot of people use for well, balance. You just have too much Str I'm sure, and wasted points in Agi to ever think about going Mage Armor, but Light is a possibility if you don't want to have to use a Restat (Or two, three or more).
Light build is Str/Agi = Level +4 (Starting at level 2, thats 1 each per level if you were to start from the beginning), 7 Con (Or keep what you have and don't add more), and rest on Int (Should come out to roughly 3x level). If you don't have insanely high Str yet, it will eventually even out as you level and not add to it, to be able to be converted into a Light build. What level are you anyway, and what's your current stats?
Good luck.Proud Pre-Launch CO and Pre-Launch STO Lifetime Subscriber.0 -

hmm, currently I'm lvl 33.
My stats for now are: (with my 5 points current on hold, still deciding which to add)
Vit: 14
Str: 79 (lol, insanely high str? need lvl 75 to balance it )
Dex: 16
Mag: 66
Well, I guess I could use my current heavy set for the time being and balance out my int?0 -
Well that looks like a normal lvl 22 Gold Sword build, but as you said, it suffers from low Mdef. You seriously can't fight stuff like Antelope, because they will eat you alive, and I'm sure any kind of poision floors you in minutes if your pet doesn't agro on time. The thing about being Light is I can switch to Magic and lower the poison damage, and it just normally doesn't hit me in Light for as much as somebody in Heavy. Mdef actually does affect how much poison does, because it's magic-based. I tested the numbers using different armors, and Magic, Light, and Heavy all had different numbers, with Magic being lowest and Heavy almost killing me. Same exact monster.
So unless you want to stay like this, which is possible, just not plausible unless you want to level slow to 75 like some people have said (While also fixing up the missing Int and Dex), you'll either a need couple of single stat Restats, or level to 75 with a gimped character. If you actually manage to level to 75 to even this out, you'll probably have either gotten bored ages ago, or stayed Heavy. I personally wouldn't want to take that long to get my build the right way.
So I guess if you want Int and some kind of melee power, you need to Restat. If you don't, keep going with as is. Just know, with your skills being only castable with a Magic Weapon, and since you can only use that one sword, your melee damage will be horrible because it eventually becomes bad for your level. If you use another weapon, you'll be unable to heal your pet or even use Fox skills. Heavy is not easy to play.
That's all I got unless you have specific questions you think I may be able to answer. Are you on Lost City btw?Proud Pre-Launch CO and Pre-Launch STO Lifetime Subscriber.0 -
Sigh.. I guess I'm screwed either way.
And yup you are right, the antelope killed me in seconds, I've got to run away whenever I see it lol. I felt so fk up when I got killed by the dragons multiple times near heaven tear just to complete the cultivation quest.
Leveling to lvl 75 would be pretty impossible like you have said and spent money to reset a low lvl character doesn't really seems to worth it (How much does a gold cost by the way, I can't seems to find the price of it).
Well, I guess I have 3 choices:
1) Suck it up and train to lvl 75 to balance it out or Continue training it the way I did previously.
2) Retrain a new venomancer.
3) Play a new character instead.
But, I guess I would go with number 3 or restat (with number 3 being the most likely decision I would pick) since I'm kinda sick with the idea of training a new venomancer (I retrained a new one once, this make my current venomancer the second one and if I were to retrain another one, it would make it the third).
Yup, I'm playing in Lost City (and being PVP is one of the gameplay factors, my crippled character won't make it).
Anyway, I would like to thank you for all your help and I really appreciate it.0 -
1G is $1 is 100Z right now, which a lot of people are not happy about. Imo, 33 is not that low. It's when you can (Normally) start soloing FB19s for people for some extra exp/sp, and 3 levels away from the skill that refills some of your MP for free.
If you're really set on playing a WF you wouldn't really be phased by this. setback The charracter I'm playing right now is my second, with the on from MY having a kind of mehish Light build, not that great, but I learned from it. It's a lot of dejavu for me, but I'm sticking with it.
Options to think about:
1. You could restart from 1 again if you like the class.
2. You could shelf the character and wait until you can afford to restat into a Light build, which is the most PVP balanced, which seems like a good idea if you do plan to continue it eventually and don't wanna start all over.
3. You can still play it while you're either making a new one of something else, a new WF, and shelfing it. The fact that you have a 3x character means you can do some farming of some monsters around that level for materials and DQ. Just make sure to finish the Cluti for the level 29 skills, and be careful on casting mobs. Could be half mule half farmer. You have a character, make use of it in any way you can.
That's really all I got for a closing statment. You're welcome and good luck with what you decide..Proud Pre-Launch CO and Pre-Launch STO Lifetime Subscriber.0 -
Well. I have no recommendations on whether you should use light or heavy or what have you, but my advice on your current build would be to pump int to 90 for the starsealer, as that's supposed to provide a better p.atk vs int requirement ratio than the level 20 gold magic sword. If you want better survivability against magic, pump con rather than int. You'd then play like a warrior with gimped attack but with status affecting melee attacks like life drain and accuracy -70%.
A heavy armor werefox isn't necessarily bad, but you'll be regulated to mostly support and as a robe killer. You can win duels against warriors/werebeasts too because you'll have near the same physical defense and be able to absorb their hp to keep yours high =p
You won't be able to pk a heavy armor user with a hiero though, since your p.damage will be low and they'll be using heavy armor.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
