Briefly tell me abt (STR , DEX , INT ,VIT)

I know that STR = Strength
DEX=Dexterity
INT=Intelligence
VIT=Vitality

BUT

For each classes ( barbarian ,venomacer|blademaster,wizard|archer,cleric),each stats means different things...i think see im confused hope veterans out there can assist me .To give me some knowledge about this matter,cuz when i read through the forums its kinda confusing :S Im in Heaven's Tears named HolyWinter I really really need help
