Quick gameplay question.

If I have a piece of equipment that adds to Strength, does that count towards prerequisites of other items?
Or would I need to add the strength at the free allocation when I level up?
Basically I'm wondering if I should try to find items that add strength/dex in order to use equipment, or not.
I'm a mage and the weapons require 5 more strength than I have.

Yes, if a piece of gear you have that adds str is equipped, it does add to what you need to use other gear.

For example:

I have a staff that requires 20 str to use
I have 18 str only so I can't use it
I equip a piece of armor that has +2 str on it
I now have 20 str and can equip the staff

However if I take the +2 str armor off, I can still use the weapon. If I take the weapon off, I will need that 2 str again to equip it.

So should I try to find items that will help me get the prerequisites I need?
