Corrupt Files, Can't Install

Recently, I got Perfect World to install properly, but a few days later a popup appeared with the gibberish from vista not having the asian language pack or w.e, so i was forced to reinstall.
But thankfully, glorious vista has made every single one of my downloads corrupt, so no matter where i download, no matter what program i use, whether it be torrent, firefox, or flashget, when it is being unzipped, a popup will always say data(1, 2, 3, or 4).pck is broken.
Please, i need someones help to figure out the problem, i know its not the sites i download from, cause ive tried them all, but im pretty sure the problem is deep within my computer, thanks microsoft...:mad:

    What program are you using to unzip the files? I have a buddy who also use vista and for some reason every time he tried to extract files with winrar it kept saying corrupt but when I told to him to switch to 7-zip all the files extracted perfectly.

    i am using 7-zip, and ive also tried all the other ones, but the odd thing is when i extract em, sometimes data2.pck will be broken, but if i etract it again, data2.pck might be fine, but data3.pck might be broken this time, so its been really annoying using vista...
