This is adapted from "The Lovely Guide to Territory War" posted on another forum

The Guild Master must speak to the Territory War Administrator during the bidding period of 10pm Wednesday till 10pm Thursday in order to bid for a TW. The bidding period can be extended to 10:40pm on Thursday.

Each bid must be at least 100,000 higher than the previous bid (the minimum opening bid is 500,000). So if the previous bid was 500,000 you have to bid at least 600,000. If it was 1,111,123 then you have to bid at least 1,211,123. The game will automatically bid 100,000 higher for you (unless you state otherwise). Note that if you bid 200,000,000 (200 Million) you cannot be overbid and so are guranteed to win.

It is important thing to understand how the time extensions work, especially when many guilds compete for 1 land, or if the bidding is dominated by 'fake' guilds. These following times on THURSDAY are the most important:

9:39pm
9:59pm
10:19pm
10:39pm

9:39 pm
If you are serious about bidding, you should be online well before this time to bid. 9:39:59 is the last second where you can bid without extending the bidding period to 10:20pm. So if no one outbids you between 9:40 and 10pm, your guild gets to go to war.

9:59pm
If a land has not been bid on at all during the 9:40-10pm bidding period, it will 'close' to bids at 10pm. any bids made between 9:40 to 9:59 will extend the bidding window to 10:20.

10:19pm
During this (10pm-10:20) period, any bid will extend bidding on that land till 10:40 which is the final bid phase. (other wise bidding is 'closed' at 10:20, with the highest bid in the previous phase winning)

10:39pm
10:39:59 is the last second to 'win' a contested bid. Just like E-bay, the idea is to 'snipe bid' at the last moment.
