If they really wanted to hold an event, spread out the boss monsters ACROSS Perfect World.
The Saturday after launch, something sinister approaches. The bosses that normally inhabit the dungeons of Perfect World International will be found around the world in random locations. It will be up to the players to combat this evil and subdue the adventurous bosses and send them back to their dungeons.
Initially, I thought there was bosses all across the map in random locations...the west gate of archo isn't very random. They could have put some around orchid village, silk ridge, near the fb29 entrance, just to lower the lag.

Actually the first stage of this event had level 20ish boss mobs spawned at random locations all around the world. :)

However, thanks for your input. We are always collecting feedback from events and taking that feedback to the planning table for future events.

Well that's nice that it's fixed for everyone.

Can we please fix the problem with people not receiving their free Zen now?

Well I participated in it at first and my screen certainly did NOT freeze.

I was able to cast magic and run around just fine.

If your computer isn't good enough to handle it, either turn down all of your settings, or don't come to crowded areas like that...or upgrade your PC.

Events are made to be enjoyed by EVERYONE. Not a minority with supercomputers able to display so many pixels all gathereed in the same spot.

Having an event that gather most of the server population into one point of the map have DISASTER painted on in in big blue red neon color.

Next time (if there ever is a next time) make the boss pop up in various locations instead of cramming them up all at the same place.

(We are still waiting to see any improvements or changes beign implemented. More empty promises from PWI?)

I think and hope GM's understood the lesson that had to be learnt here. We learn from mistakes. If you do a boss event, make it random. Instead of having many bosses at the same spot, spawn even more bosses, but all at different and random places. and have a message saying they appeared, but DON'T say where. Oh, and please make drops that can be picked by everyone...

    Here's what happened for me:
We had gathered a team to do boss-hunting, and we were hoping to stumble on one, then we saw the announcements saying it was at West gate

Here's an idea for some kind of event, Have a monthly or by monthly event that's kind of a festival in the game world, namely fireworks being set off at every city :) :P

here is an idea to lessen the lag for an event like that...ban venomancer pets for it. yes i know all venos will whine that it is unfair but think about how much less the server and peoples computers will have to process. i've played many games that ran events and have banned all pets/summoned monsters for the event. with all the veno pets running around i couldnt hardly even see where the bosses were because they were being blocked by the swarm of venos.
