Is it better to create alt on the same account?

Well, obviously you can dual box with alt if you have different accounts. Any reason we should create alts on the same account? Is it easier to transfer items within the same account?

I dont think the ToS allows you to have multiple accounts but I could be wrong. Also you should correct your post :P it says bot instead of box! lol some people might get confused.

Dual box lol. I am not sure if it is officially allowed. But no body should get banned by buffing your main.
BTW I was trying to read through ToS but is was sooooo long. I may miss a line or two.

Thats a good thing to do, if it doesn't say anything against it then by all means go for it!

I think I remember reading somewhere too that you're only allowed one account... but I can't for the life of me find where it was written. =\

It may have just been a GM/Admin reply.

GM's and Admins may say things are wrong. But if it's not in the ToS then it's not against the rules, which is why the ToS for most companies is always updated with each new patch.

If you can't find it in the ToS then it's not against the rules until the company revises it. Any threat and or ban made otherwise can cause the company to be sued if the person chooses to do so.

That would be true, if the ToS didn't also state explicitly that they have the right to terminate your account at any time, without reason or warning. ;)

If you check the ToS for pretty much any MMO out there, they'll say the same. Even major P2P ones.

Anyway, I think what I remember reading is in the forum rules as "No alternate identities" which I guess would be like me creating, say, a Ryuuzaki2 account if Ryuuzaki got banned. I *think* that would be exclusive to the forum use.

I know the general ToS for most MMO's because not only have I played just about every single MMO that has come out in the past 7 years, beta tested, GM'd, Moderated. I work for a game company.

Even though the ToS says that, there are loopholes in the system. Just like anywhere else.

I never thought it could be so complicated. So can anybody tell me in one word about dual boxing, yes or no?

Personally, I've never seen anything wrong with allowing the players to have 2 accounts. One account to vend items (If the game premits the use of a vending system) or if someone just wants to add a bit of challenge and play two characters by using two different computers which one keyboard controls both (Sounds fishy but it's completely legit, so don't go opening your mouth about how it's wrong or how it's botting; because it's not. Learn the difference.)

Now, if they do allow this and lets say, rumpo jones starts botting on one of his accounts. He made a stupid choice. Delete both his characters and ban both accounts.

Currently, there's nothing in the ToS that I saw that prohibits the use of two accounts. Just because Admin A doesn't like it, doesn't make it set in stone. If it's not a rule, make another account. When and only when you're confronted by a member of the staff to either get rid of or stop using two accounts at the same time, then it's time to bow out graciously and do so.

I've posed the question to the admins, so hopefully we can get a clear response on the legality of it once and for all.

Personally, I'm all in favour of it. I have 2 PCs at home and a KVM switchbox. I've used that system to support myself, or simultaneously grind/vend on other MMOs. Here's hoping we can do it here too. ^_^
