Werebeast tanks: Weapons a must?

So here's my query: I currently have a level 19 Barbarian. Back on the MY-EN client I actually had a level 60..... anyways, I'm creating a tank build and I wanted to know exactly how important weapons are to the average Barbarian tank?

So far I've only been raising the bare amount of STR and DEX for my armor, then dumping the rest into VIT. I have lots of HP, but low attack. I get more points to put into VIT, but is the sacrifice of my newest weapons really worth it?

I'd be very grateful if I could get some help here. Thanks! :D

    well ur a tanker...so ur lower attks are compensated by ur massive hp...a good weapon is definitely helpful in killing mobs but barbs are not massive damage dealers like the other classes...
