Hi guys,

I was looking for a way to raise my AA and AF for PWI but as we all know its not possible in game (smooth sharpen meh.) Well I tried my nVidea config tool but I didn't see any diffrence in game. I applied the AA + AF bump up on elementlauncher.exe or what ever its called in hope to hit the right aplication.

I use Vista Ultimate 32bit my graphics card is 8800gtx.
If any one know a working way to get my AA and AF up with this card plz let me know.

P.S. I tried nHancer but without results. my card's driver is 175.19 WHQL.

if you can't get it to work by forcing AA and AF trough nvidia control panel then....some games just aren't compatible. Tho it does work on my ATI card by forcing it trough CCC:

    ON - http://img28.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=49325_1_122_1155lo.jpg

BTW, I have a NVIDIA 8600GT 256MB, and AA + AF is working. I am using Forceware 169.04 which is not WHQL and also an older driver. I am able to force AA+AF with the NVIDIA control panel and can notice a different. Also, I don't apply my settings to a profile. I have 4xAA and 8xAF set as the global default for my Direct3d settings. Maybe that will work for you?

(If the anti-**** is started by the launcher, then maybe it blocks the NVIDIA profile manager?)

The actual executable of the game is called something like elementclient.exe. The one you used is just the patcher.

Thanks all I will try this out this evening when I get home. Allthow when I saw the ATI pictures my game is alrdy looking like yourse with aa on. maybe the smooth and sharpen is some sort of in game AA AF but I see my character rly pixely when zoomed out and that kinda bothers me.

if you are talking about the "soften", it is not an ingame AA option. it's more like "bloom". Makes your game blurrier...for some people maybe more beautiful but i like to keep it off.

Smoth makes the game look like **** and is only used by blind, tasteless people.

That's a load of ****. NVIDIA just refuses to fix their s***ty bugged drivers.

Solution (worked for me, at least):
Step 1 - uninstall all video drivers
Step 2 - run driver sweeper (WHILE IN SAFE MODE)
step 3 - get out of safe mode and install Xtreme-G drivers http://www.tweakforce.com/

Ignoring the first 2 steps may create serious issues, from what I've read.

Please keep in mind tweaking and force changing your drivers to change things in the game can break the game (or any game) permanently (if you're lucky temporarily), forcing you to reinstall the game.

The game was originally developed 4 or so years ago for the hardware out then, so some video card driver tweaks may not work on the game at all.

If you are doing these kinds of tweaks, we can't offer full support (or none at all) because you aren't using the default drivers or settings from the hardware manufacturers. You are essentially on your own.

So make sure you have back ups, or a restore point ready for your OS should something get messed up.

If you do not really know what you are doing with your PC, but just trying to do some cool stuff with it to make things look cool, don't, or you may regret it with a huge data loss or nasty crash.

Just trying to warn you all ;)
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Agreed with fez. the setting to change the AA + AF are in the NVidia control panel per default - means they are there to be used. But in general, yeah, darthpanda is right. If you are not sure what you are doing, don't.

@OP: make sure you set the AA & AF mode to "override". Maybe you will have to re-start the game after applying the settings. It worked fine for me with 175.80 drivers (i have a 8600m GT), all i have to do is alt-tab back to the game.
PW has been endless frustration for me #2

Override won't work if your drivers are bugged.

I've heard of people with the same card, driver version, and OS having it working and another not working, it seems completely random.
I've heard REALLY old drivers (don't recall the version #) don't have the AA bug but I don't think such old drivers even support the 8/9 series cards at all.
