Ok, this may not belong in this fourm (not sure, I am new)

I have a laptop and wanted to play this game, a 2 GB plus thing was downloaded.

I am limited in space (have 40 gb, 4 gb was free)

The only reason I could not install it was because of the HUGE single file, only deleting that enabled me to get past to where to install, but apparently I need it or it screws up installing it.

What is the 2gb thing for?

I am sorry if this is not the right fourm. :o

Edit: What I am saying is remove the HUGE file if it has no purpose.

What I understand from your post you are talking about the upzipped game installation files? Just remember that the 2Gb file you mention is probably the big one containing all the important files that it needs to install the game. You cannot delete it until after you've succesfully installed the game.

Since you mention you only have a 40Gb hard drive that's certainly not a lot these days. The best thing would be to upgrade the hard drive, if possible, or since you're on a laptop to buy an external HD instead, which is the easiest solution short of upgrading the laptop.

At any rate having only 4Gb out of 40 free on the machine is not a lot. Just remember that you don't just need free space to install stuff, but also to keep your machine running smoothly. The less free space you have on you HD the slower your games and other applications will run. For the best performance you should always have at least 10-15% free disk space, which would be around 4-6 Gb in your case. Personally I prefer to keep a margin of around 30% free space, but this is admittedly easier when you have a larger drive.

The best thing I can recommend is to do a cleanup of your hard drive - remove anything you don't really need or had already planned to deinstall. Also you could look at the option to use an external hard drive to store files that you don't essentially need on your main HD, like documents, pictures, music, etc. If you could squeeze your free space to at least 7-8Gb you should have plenty of space to install and play PW smoothly. :)

Yeah, I am trying to get an external hd of at least 100 gb so I can put stuff on that instead.
