Animal skins

To craft a lvl 2 bow, I need some wood and animal skins. Lvl 1-8 mobs drop ragged fur, but no skins. Any help?

    They do drop animal skins, the drop rate is just lower, and only it only drops from some mobs. Try killing wolf-like mobs, they tend to drop various types of leather (animal skins included).
