Ok, question. How do i get a Socket for my weapon. cuz I asked many people to tell me how, but apparently people in the game are not very sharing and nice enough to help.

So I need detailed description on how to socket my weapon with stones and how do I get these materials. as for fusing thats going to be simple.

go to a merchant and buy some soulstones for the correct grade of your weapon the more you buy the higher grade soulstone you can turn them into, you can fuse the soulstone in your EQ at a blacksmith or tailor.

Who ever came up with this system must have suffered from down syndrome because you can no longer tell what soul stones are compatible with your weapon because the weapons have levels while the soulstones now have NAMES. So i cant really explain to you what level soulstone you can equip into your EQ.

To be able to use you soulstones your weapon/armor needs to have slots called sockets. Not all weapons/armors have sockets. You can tell how many sockets the equipment has by looking beside its name when you hover your mouse over it. If it doesnt say anything, it doenst have any sockets. Weapons can have a max of 2 sockets and armors 4. To create a soulstone you must go to the merchandizer and buy soulstones. The level of soulstone you can put is determined by the equipments level. If you hover your mouse over the equipment and you see Lvl 4. that means the highest grade soulstone you can fuse is lvl 4.

Here's the info for the first 4 levels.

    Lvl 1 SS
    Lvl 2 SS = 3 Lvl 1 SS
    Lvl 3 SS = 3 Lvl 2 SS (9 lvl 1 SS)
    Lvl 4 SS = 3 Lvl 3 SS (27 lvl 1 SS)

As you can see the cost and amount of lvl 1 soulstones you need increases exponentially. This get very expensive and it isnt suggested to buy/make soulstones until you reach a higher level as you will out level your armor quickly.

To create different level soulstones you need to buy level 1 soulstones and combine them by talking to the Jewelcraftsman NPC(not sure npc name in PWI should be close). Click the combine button and locate your soulstone and click the first box. Make all the soulstones the next level and then click the next box and make all the soulstones the next level etc...

To fuse the soulstone to your equipment visit the blacksmith for weapons and tailor for armors. Click imbed soulgem(not 100% sure for PWI) and drag your equipment into the first slot and the soulstone into the second and click 'fuse'.

Heres an example step by step:

I have a helmet with 1 socket. The grade level of the helmet is 4. I have the money to make a level 4 HP soulstone. First I visit the merchandiser and click the 3rd tab. I drag the HP soulstone onto the buy list and enter 27. This gives me enough to combine into a level 4 soulstone. I then visit the jewel craftsman and click combine. I click the first HP soulstone box (level 2) and then click 'Max' this will then turn your 27 lvl 1 soulstones into 9 level 2 soulstones. I then click the next HP soulstone box(level 3) and click 'Max' this create 3 lvl 3 soulstones. Then click the next HP soulstone box (level 4) and click combine. This make 1 lvl 4 soulstone. I then visit the tailor because my equipment is armor. I click the embed soulgem and drag my helmet (**from my inventory not equiped items**) and also drag the soulstone into the second slot. I click embed and now the helmet has an extra stat at the bottom of it +20 HP. Done! :D

    Any questions just ask here.
I like to rub it in. Enjoying the game?

That means, sockets are given, you can't add them or anything, and soulgems are what upgrades your stuff, right?
And the last: what about sockets in manufactured equipment?

Sorry for noob questions but I'm quite new to PW...

Once u put soulstones in your equipment u cant remove them, becose they r fused with it, if u think that u can diassamble eq and u ill have stones back, ur wrong, so like said above dont waste money on soulstones to put in EQ at least not before lvl 30.....cose if u want 1 lvl 4 SS will cost you bout 15k gold for just +20 hp.....

So how do we make a socket?

You can't make sockets. equip with sockets are rare drops. This is especially true when you are low. the good news is that you dont need to fuse anything b4 lvl 30 - waste of money even if it has sockets - u dump that thing in a hour anyway.

Thanks for reply, but you can make it if you spend Real money to buy a socket stone from the game store lol

How lame is that to spend Real money in a game that is still in Beta!!

I think you can buy an item from the item mall that will add a socket. You have to buy it and then take it to the PW Boutique Agent to put the "Add Socket" stone or whatever it's called on your gear.

i tried making a lvl 4 shard today, to fuse to my armour. i discovered that 27 shabby shards costs above 14000 coins. Also, i had to pay the blacksmith an additional 1000 coins to do the fusing, rounding up the price of fusing a common shard to 15000 coins.
    This is expensive business b:sad

In an hour? Really? I still have gear that is 10+ levels below me. Remember that Armor requirements are in increments of 10 levels so they probably will last a while, and I've yet to run into a problem with not having enough coin to buy shards and fuse them to gear I'm going to be using for a while.

You should have plenty of money. Start picking up all the stuff you see on the ground. Most people leave common DQ items which sell at an NPC for high dollar. If you find element frags or dull claws just set up a cat shop. I think they both sell for somewhere between 5-6K each and if you sell them for cheaper they will sell fast. Money has never been an issue for me so go ahead and upgrade the **** out of your equp or weapon.

:P I wouldn't start upgrading until about Lv. 50 where you get a taste of grinding and will be here for awhile {at least if you were laid back and lazy like I was XD}.

Yes, you can remove the soulgems. Use the "Purify" selection at the blacksmith, tailor, etc. although it says "Will remove all attributes" it's misleading. The attributes remain, the stones are removed. Then they can be replaced with other soulgems. you do not get the stones back of course. :)
