real money essential?

How essential are cash shop items? Are there mandatory (or EXTREMELY helpful) items that must be bought with real money to compete effectively in game? What's this hiero I've heard so much about? important for what?

    Nothing in the cash shop is NEEDED in the least bit. However since you are paying real money for them, you expect to get something worth while of course. They can help you greatly in this game.

    hieros are items you can equip to automatically fill your hp or mp when they get below a certain point.

    hiero recharges your mp or hp automatically (once it reaches 50% if hp or 75% if mp), and has a cooldown.

    the npc-bought pots are more expensive in terms of ingame money than buying a hiero from a player shop (cheapest of all is to buy one straight from cash shop yourself of course).

    hieros are essential really - mobs hit hard and players hit harder; mp hieros charge up aoe party members' skills; and you're a total fail in a territory war without an hp hiero.

    Also, don't forget, it should be possible buy cash shop money with in game gold through the in game gold auction house. Other player may also sell cash shop items for in game gold. (At the start of PW MY, it was possible to get a Bronze hiero for like 70K in game gold which is not hard to get. Those times are now long gone.)

    Basically, as long as the economy is not inflated, you can grind for in game money for cash shop items. ^_~
