Do different races start in different places?

Because theres a hell of a lot of winged elves where I am haha.

    Yeah, each race starts in a different area. First time I ever played this game I made an Archer, and I kept wondering why the heck SO MANY PEOPLE were archers too lol. >..> All classes merge to same area at lvl 20. (IDK the new town name-used to be Ancient Dragon City but new name now lol.)

    Correct. Each race starts at their own starting area. No worries, I thought the exact same thing the first time I played Perfect World. ;)
