Update client opens fine, but anything else is impossible

So I've opened the update client, it automatically patched/verified just fine, but now, clicking any button in the client either does nothing, or causes it to close.

Any ideas on how to solve this please? I'm running on Windows XP Media Center Edition, and my specs are at or above the recommended specs.

The problem seems to have resolved itself somehow.

    same here, its already past 9 am cest and i still connect to the server, only the update one

    ooh no i don't have that im using xp pro sp3 i just cant connect to the game server
