go to http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/gmt-converter.htm.

Leave the first box at Midnight

Change the second box to GMT-7 (the timezone the forums are in, as you can see at the VERY BOTTOM of this page)

Change the third box to your timezone (of you don't know what timezone you live in, click on the link in the box on the right and choose your country)

I live in GMT+1, so it will be 08.00am on the 19th of August when the servers /should/ be up and running. Lucky me :D no need to stay up late XD

Of course, as Ryuuzaki pointed out, this is if they plan on running the servers at midnight exactly. It could also be around 10am that they decide to get everything up and running. If that's the case, then I'll be able to join after dinner lol :P But at least it gives you a better indication of the clock on the front page.

    I'm not entirely sure the admins plan to get the game server running at midnight. I would expect it to be sometime during the day on Tuesday, when they actually get into work for the day.

    The countdown is based on your computer systems clock, so someone in New Zealand will have the clock telling them that at midnight of thier home town it will we up, whilst someone in Mexico will think it will be midnight THIER timezone. It can't be midnight at the same time on two sides of the globe

    By the way, the clock on the bottom of the forums is also wrong. They forgot to adjust it for the Daylight Saving Time.

    You must add one hour to the time showed at the bottom of the forums.

    Looking forward to trying this game .. not a lot of mmo's out there atm that get boring from time to time.

    i dont think that the Server goes Online direct 0:00... 19.08 this Day is the start day but the start time is a other one than 0:00.... I think so... the counter mean know is the 19.08 xD

    YES the problems with the Timezones... well as my Chief says at the Army Forces Headquarter we have to use UTC to get a good timing of attacks ;)

    But at all on the Admins mentioned that the Countdown is more a gimmick than a tool. So easly try to logon at Aug the 19 oder Aug the 20 if you'r more East at Wordsight.

    For my little opinion makes no sense if i start directly or with 12 oder 20 hours later.

    well..I don't get the fuzz..on the main site there's a countdown..how hard issit 2 calculate...anywayz when the countdown end imma just try and login..IF i'm still awake...

    the timer on the site says its going to be at 11-12pm

    I believe the timer is just counting down to the day of the beta (i.e. midnight, wherever you are) rather than the actual time it goes live.

    I believe the timer is counting down to when you can login and start to play.
    It would make sense considering that they don't want servers to go down when the whole world starts to hammer it for logging in.

    If every country enters the game slightly before another, the servers won't crash and it should all go smooth.

    Well, people aren't too keen on this idea ('cuz they're jealous of people who get to play sooner)... but we'll see.
    If I was the creator of PWI, I'd certainly do something like this.
