    Player Vs. Environment. Computer-controlled monsters and such.

    i.e. not against other people (PvP).

    You can still PvP on the PvE server. Only difference is that you have on option to turn it on or off under certain restrictions.

    (We are still waiting to see any improvements or changes beign implemented. More empty promises from PWI?)

    Some players enjoy playing in a more risky environment, other in one they can have more control upon.
