Unfortunately you can't run a PC with Mac products or you can't run a Mac without OS X. Windows XP only detects 4GB's of RAM. If your system is not of this world then why are you using nVidia or Apple hardware?

Windows XP detects more than 4Gb of RAM if you run a 64 bit version ( 3Gb max for 32Bits version ).

i would go for 500 watts,

plus the 8800gt is weaker than the new 8800gts [alpha dog edition] with 512mb memory, 150 mhz more core clock than the regular 8800gts, and has 128 stream processors, pretty good, also alot of shader processors

beats the gt and gets less hot
If I wanted, I could go back to my dual PSU setup, but it doesn't need it.
I bought the GT last halloween. It plays every game I own flawlessly, paired with this CPU.

I've got probably the lowest specs in this thread...

Off the top of my head, it's:

CPU: AMD Sempron Thoroughbred 2800+ (~2 Ghz)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce FX 6200, 256MB 8x AGP
    RAM: 1152MB DDR (128mb + 2x512mb)
    OS: WinXP
    HDD: 80Gb (forgot manufacturer)

Made it about 4 years ago for around $350. It's all she'd let me spend. :(
