I am thinking it might stand for Area of Effect...as in range that spells or hits affect.

I keep hearing the term and I don't know what it means.

Can someone explain it a bit to me?

Also, about leveling your skills...do they automatically level when you level up? Do you need to train them? Do you have Ability Points or something like that, that you put into raising skills?

Also, if you are a mage, can you also choose to weild a weapon? Or are the skills extremely limited to each class? So can you be a mage and be a decent fighter at the same time? Or is it 'set it stone' upon character creation?

Oh, one more thing...after Beta...they whipe the characters...will I be able to use the same character name? Or not?

aoe = Area Of Effect (so yeah, what you thought it meant).

you have to buy your skills from your skill trainer: every kill you take gives you xp + sp (skillpoints) which are also needed to get skills (along with gold).

if you're a mage you cast spells - you will be **** at melee fighting, though if you're interested in melee + magic go venomancer class (the summoner) and experiment with the build...that class can have both forms of combat.

after beta all characters get the wipe, so you'll have to remake them all over again (including, i assume, the names).
