What's your favorite type of milk? I prefer skim myself... so what do you like, homo, 2%, 1%, chocolate milk, what?

    Soy, hmm, but if it's actual milk it has to be the best brand there is, otherwise i'll refuse to drink/use it.

    Soy's not very good for you, you know? My Uncles a Doctor, and he says he has people come in every year, thinking that soy is good for your health, with multiple soy related complications. Soy really messed up your thyroid and hormone levels with constant use, and I wouldn't drink it beyond a now and then drink. Even in asian countries, where it's much more common, it's drunk in moderation, because the health benefits go away when you overdo it. Those western hardcore vegan types who chug soy back like water usually end up sick eventually.

    Chocolate milk. I used to have it, literally, every day two years ago. *_* God I miss that. I hardly ever get it now.

    :0 i have trouble drinking milk it makes me get head aches and feel sick. Though the expensive stuff doesnt for some reason, but we cant always buy that T_T

    Strawberry milk if not well how about vanilla flavored soy milk (I don't usually drink any form of milk but it is quite tasty as a once in a blue-moon type of thing).

    regular 2% for me. can cook with it, make milkshakes, and you can add your own strawberry or chocolate syrup, also goes great with cookies, or graham crackers.

    what is homo-milk????? Well i like my milk with sugar, but it has to be fresh and as for origin then i dont care, if it comes from human or cow (just want the milk), because my breakfast is a glass of milk and that has to last till dinner.

    Homo milk means whole milk, or the strongest type of cow's milk possible. It's very rich and fatty, and the taste is very strong. Homo Milk is usually only used as a term in Canada and the UK, and everywhere else it's Whole Milk.

    I thought that meant homogenized milk? As generally you can have 1% and 2% milk separate as it goes stale meaning that it once was homogenized (made to be of a constitution that's equal throughout its entirety, certainly beats the definition for homo milk at urbandictionary). Although it is easiest to view the break down of it in whole milk.

    All milk is homogenized usually. It's very hard not to find homogenized milk. But in Canada, the top level of milk, where as no fat has been removed, is called 'homo milk', or whole milk in most other places. I do not know why it's like that here. Here on a scale of most fatty to least fatty, it goes homo, 2%, 1%, skim.

    Certainly peculiar, then again there is also milk that lasts 40+ days.

    Having lived in the UK for the first 23 years of my life.... I can assure you I have never heard whole milk called homo milk. Homo is indeed short for homogenized, which is just a process to help bind the milk molecules. It really has little to do with the actual fat content of the milk, other than keeping it consistent throughout the milk.

    Pretty much all milk (skimmed/semi-skimmed/whole, 1%/2% etc.) is homogenized these days. You have to really look around to find some that isn't.

    Edit: you pretty much said the same thing while I was typing it. XD Except homogenization isn't really used to remove fat, just mix it all up. Unhomogenized whole milk has the same fat content as homogenized whole milk. It'll just separate and give you a creamy layer at the top.

    It's great for cooking with though. ;)
