If your character dies and it had 0.00% previously, does it lose a level?

No. If you die while at 1% exp, your exp will go to 0%. You cannot delvl or go into a negative percentage.

That's awful, needs more L2 style deleveling in pvp.

Ew, I would hate it if there was deleveling, lol. And I'd imagine there's be a lot of confusion on already distributed stat points or equipped armor once you reach a new level, but then delevel.

Not really, all you need to do is save 2 info about a character's level, current level and reached level. If a character levels up, you just do a check if current level > reached level then give stat points, otherwise don't.

I played some games that had de-leveling and it didn't really matter (to me). The only thing that is annoying about it is not being able to use your equips...

The last game i played that had de-leveling had a limit for it, you couldn't de-level below lvl10.

only one reason - greater skillpoints for the level.

people with greater dedication to the game than myself kill themselves repeatedly for this same reason, however it's a moot point as by time you're high level enough you'll have more SP than you know what to do with anyway, so meh.

If that is possible, then the game just sucks.

    if what is possible...farming SP?

yeah it is possible, but not worth it except, perhaps, at early levels.

level up->get stat points->de-level->level up again -> get stat points again -> repeat.

If this is possible in any game, that game sucks and is not worth playing

nono - there is no de-leveling in PW, the above posts were discussing the possibility of de-leveling in other games.

SP farming in PW is possible however - but you won't de-level, you just drop back to 0% on xp bar at the most.

AO has changed game functions so much it's just crazy. I mean they went from having fall damage to not, then having it again, and now I'm not sure what it's at been over 5 years since I played it. Yeah, it use to have de-leveling then didn't and then did again sounds like it doesn't now. I know there was way to aug yourself were lot of strong augs were only doing stat checks upon equipping, so if you mixed the augs right you can have huge stats of what like a lv. 60 would have normal but be lv. 10.

AO is probably changed game functions more then any other MMO I can think of at the moment. Then you also have EQ that does deleveling, but then gaining AAs you have to give up gaining EXP in order to do also.

    doesn't now anyway.

ah well, my info only goes back 4 years, and yeah there's no fall damage any more either.

and yeah you can still buff your character into equipment/imps way higher than your level, and make yourself godlike.
