A question about clerics

Alright, so 1) I'm new to this
2) I got a few questions, i'll appreciate any answer x]

Well, as you know clerics are basically granted with the "Holy" Powers, such as healing, buffing helping etc.
But my question is;
Do clerics get a "super-cool" skill at a higher level?
I mean, every other game [ most of them ] gives the clerics a super holy skill which deals ALOT of damage, and basically a skill which is one of the strongest in the game.
So, do we get a super skill or not? :O

And I have another question:
I heared that there's light armor, but it needs STR and AGI [ adding 6int 2str 2agi per 2 lvls ]
But that means that our magical power will go down, although the "light" armor does sound nice, and people say that they are basically using it, but isn't it possible to get light armor by putting 8INT 1STR 1AGI per level? I'm really confused since i've never played this before but i would really like to play it.

Another question is about Staff's. i LOVE staff's and i would LOVE using them, but there are no explanations about statff's nowhere, could you please tell me, whether the staff is for physical combat or ranged [ spells ] , because i love using staff's in any other game, together with magic and not physically.

Also, what kind of spells cleric have? besides buffs, the offensive spells.

The last thing is:
Are there "jobs" in this game? like advancing from cleric to priest, then to bishop etc? or am i just too confused?

Thanks in advance
Arky~ :)

First, Clerics are blessed with the wind and thunder elements(both lumped into "metal"). And yes, you get a super-cool "thunderstorm" skill later in the game(level59). Light armour requires 1 agi, 1 str, and 3 int every level. Because the int is more than you need every once in a while, you have a few spare points to put on con every now and then (though I don't recommend it). There are staffs, but they have the lowest minimum and the highest maximum in magical damage - I prefer wands or magic swords as they hve steadier damage. Clerics have thunder skills, mostly, a couple wind spells, and one physical nuke(a magical arrow shot). Yes, there are jobs - but they aren't very specific. You can go "angel" or "demon" at level 89. As an "angel", Clerics are better able to be a support class, and as a "demon", they are better able to be an attacker class.

    Hope that helped :)

On topic: it did help thank you, and i'd probably advance to an "angel" [ xD i love all the holy, light etc stuffs :P ]

I didn't get the part about the staff's, if they got the maximum damage, why shouldn't i use them? [ I know that u didn't say that i shouldn't use them, I'm just wondering ]
And do wands look cool? D: what looks coller? wands or staffs? o.o" what's stronger? what's better? [ I doubt that i'll actually use magicial swords... idk it sounds weird O_O" or maybe im wrong? ]

About the light armor - so should i just put every 2 lvls 6int 2str 2agi? O_O" because i heared that there are pure int clerics, and their magical powers are far greater.

    Thank you Arky.
And thanks in advance for answering these questions,

I didn't get the part about the staff's, if they got the maximum damage, why shouldn't i use them? [ I know that u didn't say that i shouldn't use them, I'm just wondering ]Well, they have the highest maximum, but the lowest minimum. Meaning, they can hit higher than anything else, but they can also hit lower than any other weapon.
And do wands look cool? D: what looks coller? wands or staffs? Personally, I'm a sucker for magic swords :p o.o" what's stronger? Wands have the best minimum damage, but the lowest maximum. So, your attack damage is very consistant. what's better? [ I doubt that i'll actually use magicial swords... idk it sounds weird O_O" or maybe im wrong? ]I personally prefer wands to staffs, but magic swords are the best imo.[/B]

About the light armor - so should i just put every 2 lvls 6int 2str 2agi? O_O" because i heared that there are pure int clerics, and their magical powers are far greater. Yeah, you can. It's the same thing. The difference between light armour and robes is that light armour has better physical defences, and offers more critical hits. Robes, on the other hand, have better magical defence, and will give you more base attack power. I think I'm going to use light armour, but I'm not 100% sure just yet.

Thank you Arky. No problem.

It'll definitely be easier, once the game starts, if you joined a guild(preferably mine :D). I won't hang around the forums once the game launches - I've got plenty of things to care care of!

Ttyl. And, glad to help.

It's quite good. I don't recommend getting Feather Razors, or Thunder Sphere, but that's just me.

Hmm, but feather razors is an AoE Skill [ do we have any more AoE skills besides that one? o.o ] And as he describes it, it seems to be powerfull. If I may ask, why don't u recomend on raising it? and why don't u recomend on raising thunder sphere?

Feather Razors requires you to be close the enemy, I believe. As a Cleric, being far away from the enemy is generally the easiest and least painful way to kill something. And Thunder Sphere is weak. It may be useful, I don't know, but I've never seen somebody use it in PK/monster-slaying.

Well, you won't exaclty become an angel. If you want to go to the heaven side, you will get a little white fairy. Basically, the fairy will allow you getting an extra lvl for your skills, and they will give you an advantage. The holy advantages are better for support clerics, and the dark (hell) advantages will make you better as an attack type cleric. Anyway, as a hell cleric you will still be able to be a great healer, and a holy one you will also be a great damage dealer.

About the staffs, they're a great weapon. The problem is that at lvl 60+ you will start with Holy Hall runs. Holy Hall of Dusk is a kind of dungeon where bosses drop mats to craft green weapons, that have GREAT stats. Most of the magic weapons you can craft are magic swords, and they're also the easiest. That's why most people start using them.

    Plume Quill
    lvl: 10
    Casting distance: 26.5

    Feather Razors
    lvl: 10

I'll agree that Thunder Sphere is useless. I don't know what are the chances of it disrupting casting in PvP when it ticks; that might have some use. But the cast time is too long anyway.

Huh, I never knew that about Razors. Never used 'em before. Aoe skills still aren't wise to use, though, as a Cleric...

Plume Quill is a must-have; I was just replying to Ark's post stating Feather Razors has a shorter range, which is not true.

Anyway, to clear up a bit, you have 4 basic attacks:

    Plume Quill - Physical
    Feather Razors - Physical

    Great Cyclone - Metal
    Thunder Wield - Metal

Plume Quill and Great Cyclone do moderate damage at a fast cast rate. Feather Razors and Thunder Wield do much more damage (they have a 200% matk modifier when maxed compared to Cyclone and Plume's 100%), but they cast slower and they have a cooldown which doesn't let you spam them.

Which means when fighting a mob, you open with one of the heavy hitting spells: either Razors or Thunder. This is before you got his attention, so he isn't coming at you while casting. The opener takes out some 25-33% of his hp, depending on what you're fighting. Afterwards you use cyclone which has a movement speed debuff, and continue to chip his health off with Plume Quill/Cyclone combos until he dies.

You have to have Quill Plume, because Cyclone has a small cooldown, so you have to alternate.
You have to have Cyclone because it slows stuff down.
You have to have an opener. Here's where the choice between Razors and Thunder comes. Most people go for Thunder, because it's a magical attack. In PvP, the high-hp classes are also the ones that wear heavy armor; this renders physical attacks night useless against them. Things that wear robes die incredibly fast to Quill Plume alone, so you don't have to bother with a strong physical nuke just to kill people. Thunder Wield does extra damage to Wood monsters, which is what you'll want to fight most. Razors also has an AoE which can be bad when you don't exactly want to aggro 5 things at the same time.

TL;DR: You need Quill Plume and Cyclone and either Thunder Wield or Feather Razors; while they both perform the same damage-wise, Thunder Wield has benefits that put it in the lead for most people. This does not mean also getting Feather Razors is a bad ideea, but you'll have too little SP to spread between all the stuff you have to get.

Edit: I'll also try to improve the skill section in my Cleric guide sometime soon, hopefully that'll answer any other issues that might arise.
