switching between PvP servers and PvE

is it possible? someone told me no, obviously you can't if you pk, but what if you are a white named character? can you switch between PvE and PvP servers?

    Nope. Choose one, and you're stuck with them forever unless you decide to make a new character.

    You can still pvp in the pve server. You can switch out of blue name to white name and still kill people that are also white named, so I'm sure there will always be a pk fest outside adc west like the MY version. The pve server isn't a true pve server.

    Well, it's a PvE server if you want it to be.


    ... If you like open PK, join the normal server. If you don't like PK then either play Runescape or join the PvE server.

    Like I said in another topic, I do wish for a way to transfer characters from one server to another.I know that many people will get to the PvE endgame and wish for PvP. However, they don't necessarily want to start over.

    In most cases, I wouldn't suggest that option to exist. But since the 2 severs are quite different, and that I know that many people will wish for a server change anyways, it would be useful. But I do know that chances are slim that this option will ever exist...

    hmm this is a little off topic but..
    couldn't there be channels in the servers? (like in cabal) have diffferent channels. some PvE/PvP etc..

    just an idea;)

    No, won't EVER happen.

    Noob carebear afraid of getting ganked signs up on pve server. Grinds his life away to super high level and gets gear. Transfers to pvp server.

    Basically it would let the carebear's level without any competition or any worry of getting ganked, horrible idea, won't happen.

    Those who will want to have PvP, will either go to the arena or if they want PK, turn their safe mode off.
    I'd say, look at the options you have and choose - if you plan to PK later, choose the openPvP server. If you don't, choose the opt PvP one.

    I remember that, it sounds (not saying it is) like a good idea but I'm guessing it is WAY to late to implement something like this.

    Like I said in the other thread, when I want to peacefully just grind the day, the last thing I want is a drunk guy on a PK spree. I definitely appreciate the option to PvP not a look-here-i'm-free-to-kill. Some people may even kill you and loot your stuff. Its just stupid and not care-bear at all.

    thats true, have any of you played lineage2? it didnt have pvp or pve servers, just regular servers so you can choose to pvp or pk if you like and you can be a carebear, i think sometimes not give the plays too many choices is a good thing
