Hi all,
I hope I am not posting something could have found, that really annoys me on other games. Ive looked at the noob guide in this section and it answered most of my questions. What I am looking for is something that gives me an inidication of how leveling up works with Skills, etc.
The last MMORPG I played was Maplestory and when you leveled up you added Ability Points in certain stats (e.g. Strength or Intelligence, etc) and Skill Points on different skills.
Is there any sort of a guide to help me out with this once this game enters Beta. I know its only temporary, but I want to ensure I minimise the chance of stuffing up my character build.
Thanks in advance.
Rob

Edit: Just realised I was logged in on my GF's account =(

Each level you get 5 attribute points to spend on AGI, STR, INT or CON. Those are fixed and you need to plan a good distribution (read class guides in the class forums). For each mob you kill, you get exp and sp (skill points). You use skill points and gold to buy skills. Skill points are unlimited as long as you keep questing/killing things, so you'll get all your skills sooner or later. But generally you'll want to focus on certain skills as you won't be able to max everything until late game (80+).

Ok, Thank you for your help =) (I'm on the right account now! =P)

I will spend some time reading through the various sections and builds. At the moment, I'm leaning towards an Archer or Priest.

Good choice playing PW instead of maplestory

Just a hint that Priest/Archer/Mage will cost a **** load to play as 1st character, it is almost impossible to level up normally without spending real money. Except if you farm money non-stop in dungeons.

because they require loads of potions or a mana hierogram (cash item) to play at a decent pace, since these 3 classes cant fight (or not very well) without mana.

I didn't play long on the malaysian servers (lvl30 cleric on my-cn, lvl19 on my-en) and until that, i always had enough money to afford mana potions. Also, some potions you can make if you level your pharmacy profession are really helpful, for example 50 points mana/hp regen for 10 minutes. This is 5 times better that the maxed buff of the cleric itself  I'm not a hardcore leveler, maybe that's why i didn't have to rely on cash items at all...

Oh and the cleric was my only char - no financial help from anyone
PW has been endless frustration for me #2

once you reach lvl 59 as a cleric you can zhen level. you HAVE to have a mana heirogram as it just constantly drains it
I like to rub it in. Enjoying the game?

Dunno about clerics and mana pots since i always used a hiero to lvl.... but mages can lvl perfectly fine without them, I don't wanna hear anyone disagreeing with me since I have a lvl 90+ mage and never used hieros (and yes I started AoE grinding at lvl 60, you dont need a hiero) the only downside is that you can't go afk while AoEing since you have to spam pots :x

Just join a clan with a territory and get yourself the lvl 70/80/90 pots, you'll be able to AoE with them and won't ever need a hiero

(I'm pretty sure Clerics can use mana pots too.... since my clanmate used them while AoEing)

Good to hear. I'm pretty sure I'm going Wizard this time around... and I honestly don't want to need heiros. About the AoE skill, though... what level do you get it to? Can you max it? Or, like an Archer, leave it at level 1?

well i only heard about zhen and have no idea what it is :D
i know there is a mana heavy spell clerics have, the one that drains 500mp every 5(?) seconds but is that really the only way to level?
@blaze: i know there are pots that could regen the mp strong enough to outregen the 500mp drain, but i think it's easier (and cheaper) to buy a hiero in this case.

Zhen = AoE. Of course, that's stupid. I hope I don't see "LF ZHEN PARTIES" on World Chat and it'd be "LF AOE PARTIES"
