WereFox Mage build

Stats
Every alternate levels, add these:
1 con, 4 int
1 con, 1 str, 3 int

Equipment
Full mage gear

Pros: Fastest solo leveller in the game, until level 70+. After that, second to EAs. Easiest to play. Recommended for level 1-60. Restat after that.
Cons: Very weak against physical attacks, 100% die rate against archers.

WereFox Light Armor Build

Stats
1 Agi, 1 Str, 3 Int
Con leave at 5

Equipment
Full light armor gear, best mage weapon you can equip.

Pros: Good overall defence. Good dodge, helps against melee attacks. Good critical too.
Cons: Really bad or really good for PvP, it depends on how good you are as a player. Every class can own you but you can own every class as well.

Heavy armor fox

stats
????? some1 please tell me more about this build so i can put up all i know is that u add str/con/agi. str- heavy armor requirements agi-heavy armor requirement con- goes in everything else
?? idk about this build but its ok for pvp again melees but bad against casters.
For pvp i would go light armor plus it looks awesome at lvl 90 on VM(Venomancers) but most VM(Venomancers) go mage build because its faster to lvl and cast alot more also more common.

go here for lvl 1-20 and beyond quest guides http://www.1perfectworld.com/quests/

Instead of a pure heavy fox, I would recommend the dual-armor heavy fox hybrid build located at:

The mage type Venomancer doesn't have a 100% die rate against archers. They have the 2 fury thorn skill, that decreases the damage taken by 75%, and reflects 200% of it. Also, Venomancers can be a great challenge if their build is 6int, 3con, 1str every 2 lvls.

The reflect doesn't work on Archers. If a WF is ambushed by a competent Archer, the WF is almost as good as dead.

Barbarians survive, for the most part. They're cool like that.

why would you ever try to pk a Barbarian who's buffed and full hp. Their job is to tank, so you will hardly bring them down, just leave them be (or pk them with more than 1 person, even tanking has it's limits).

Btw: 1 small question: can a light-armor build WF solo the respective HH level, like a pure int (or nearly pure int) can (--> 2-1 at lvl70,...)?

I don't really have experience with light-armor builds, had a robebuild at MY-EN, and yes, you die rather fast vs physical damage if you don'T notice the enemy fast enough to cast bramble and make him waste his stun while bramble is up.

The reflect DOES work on archers, unless they use lightning skills.

i think what he meant is: archers don't get damage from bramble, because their damage is not melee (melee attacks are reflected with 200% of the damage). The damage archers do is however reduced by 75%, as stated in bramble array's skill description.

It's possible, but it maybe difficult when going against 2-1's Archilles as the level 63 pet heal may not be enough imo.

hm i actually found Achilles to be easier than Asura (because the attack-rhythm is different, one has 4 attacks between the strong magic attacks, the other one 5), but ok, Achilles doesn't exactly drop good items in 2-1 anyways

Guess some ppl will skip Achilles and just farm the Madcougar armor (which everyone needs, who doesn't want hh70 weapons?) and asura corslets (which have/had the highest price of all the 2-1 solo items)

Venos aren't really meant for PvP... and I find that (excluding barbs) pretty much any class can ambush any other class.
Every class has both melee skills and magic skills (even mages have that lvl 59 fire one that does melee and fire damage), so every class can own any armour type.
I'd rather use either arcane or heavy armour though, because usually players only upgrade their melee skills, or only upgrade their magic ones, so you have a better chance of staying alive if you specialize your armour.

As for light armour, just about anything can kill you, so I wouldn't really recommend it. I'm going for an arcane build with lower-grade heavy armour that I can swap in if I know I'm about to be attacked by a melee player, and that works fine for me.

And about bramble hood: it simply rocks. If you get the cast off, you pretty much have 15 seconds to heal and laugh as the other person tries to hit you, which is usually enough time to kill them. Pretty much, unless you get 2-hit or don't have 2 sparks to cast bramble hood, this skill will win you every match (even against barbs... go fox form and use purify (take off all positive buffs) and that 20% extra damage one, then switch back to normal mode and use ironwood - lucky - noxious - poisonous scarabs, while sending your pet in to attack them. They should die easily.)
    HT clerics at their finest:

hari: can you do mdef debuffs? makes the fight go faster
naughty_x: waste, I do more damage without them
hari: ...you do more damage in 2 seconds than reducing mdef by 35% for 4 casters does in 20 seconds?
naughty_x: is waste, i do more damage

hari: 3-3 BH goes a lot faster with a sin
naughty_x: no, only a difference of like 3 minutes
hari: ...we've been in here a lot longer than 3 minutes already
    naughty_x: your opinion

Veno can PVP, and it can kill any class if play properly. Veno pvp by using dual armor build and pet oriented. I find many veno neglect to lvl their pet skills and teaching it new skills.

Here are a list of point distributing system:

    Pure Mag:
    (odd)
    Mag 5
    (even)
    Mag 4 Str 1

    Mag/Vit:
    (odd)
    Mag 3 Vit 2
    (even)
    Mag 3 Vit 1 Str 1

    Light Armor:
    Mag 3 Dex 1 Str 1

    Heavy/Robe Mix:
    (odd)
    Str 2 Mag 3
    (even)
Str 1 Dex 1 Mag 3 ; Dex capped at 40, then switch to Mag

    Heavy
    (odd)
Mag 4 Dex 1; Mag Cap at 90, then switch to Vit
    (even)
    Str 5
In term of damage output in nuking power :
    Pure Mag > Light = Heavy/Robe > Mag/Vit > Heavy

In term of damage in fox form:
    Heavy > Heavy/Robe > Light > Mag/Vit = Pure Mag

    In term of hp :
    Heavy > Mag/Vit > Heavy/Robe > Light > Pure Mag
