On this game, you can gather materials to make weapons & armors though.

Rohan doesn't have crafting. Rohan has combining.

Just to answer you very specifically, you CAN make weapons and armor and it is done through a crafting system. The system however, is not comparable to Rohan where you combine items it magically doubles in power. The crafting system requires you to gather materials and level up your skills to create such items. You cannot just go straight to crafting the most powerful things in the game, you have to work your way up to it but the crafted items are VERY good in comparison to most drops you will find in game. :D Hope this helps.

i think that the crafting on this game is better than combining on the Rohan, eventhough i don't know how it works out on Rohan...i've never played that one
but anyways, i love crafting and i enjoy seeing two stars on the stats on my weapon and armors...it feels so good ^^

I like the crafting on PW more. I played ROHAN for a few weeks and got tired of it but I did like their crafting system initially until I realized it was making me poor.

Basically, you need pre-existing EQ to craft better EQ. All stats from the pre-existing EQ will be transfered to the crafted item. You have the option of adding items (mob drops and cash shop items) to the EQ to increase/add stats. As always, there's the chance to fail at upgrading the stats as well as the EQ itself. If your crafting succeeds but stat upgrade fails, you lose the stat upgrade item. If you fail at crafting the item, your items are gone for good. You also have the option of lowering EQ stat requirements and levels from the appropriate NPC.

    What he said.
    In terms of materials...
Rohan is like this: leather armour + hard leather armour = benezar armour.
PW is like this: cotton thread (mob drop) + xylary log (picked plant) + balas jade (npc item) = armour.

The equipment you make is also rated on a quality scale of one to three stars. One star items drop from mobs and are lower valued. Two star has better stats and, often, bonuses than one star. Three star is comparable in quality to a unique item in Rohan. The stars you achieve when crafting are mostly random.

Rohan = Low chance of forging, everything fails and has no +; refining equipments. Adding +1 etc.
Perfect World = 100% success in crafting, but super epic fail rate of refining. After +3, you'll probably cry as you go further.

Both games requires plenty of cash shop.
