Slumbering Sacred Spirit Awakening Cost After Bard Class Release

After the update releasing the Bard class, a change was implemented that significantly increased the price of reawkening a slumbering sacred spirit from 2 Gold per awakening to 10 Gold per awakening. I don't believe this should remain this way because it's too expensive, especially now that the game is flooded with so many spirits due to the Magificent Coupon sale. I've submitted a ticket and was told that many players are asking the same thing and then I was directed to make a post. Please comment on this post showing support of the GM Community Team asking the Developers for this change.

Agreed. a 500% markup on the only thing that makes the set of gear worth it is an obvious cash grab. If the recent sales have shown anything it's that people will spend when prices aren't gouged.
Even at previous prices the people who would pay to open these spirits have dealt with terrible odds in order to make the gear good plus the additional investment to reroll the gear.
Making the gear more attainable shouldn't mean you make improving it harder to reach, it should open the door for more people to spend that gold in the first place.
Additionally if the goal was to makes spirits in general harder to get and improve then why not adjust the cost of noble spirits as well? because people dont have to pay cash for that.
Reverting the cost back should be the ONLY option the team considers since most people have reported having to spend nearly 1000$ per piece of gear to truly get it optimized.0 -
Was directed by GM to post here. Encourage all others to also copy/paste their tickets from GMs here. Need to show a unified front.

Despite it being one month since the game update, PWI still has the incorrect gold-pricing to unlock Slumbering Spirits. There are three types. I'll show you a chart to illustrate.
Name__________________________Former Cost________Current Cost____________What it should be
-Slumbering Sacred Spirit__________2g_________________10g_______________________1.5-3g
-Slumbering Royal Spirit___________0.8g________________2g________________________0.5-1g
-Slumbering Noble Spirit_________800k coin__________800k coin__________________500k coin
At first I thought 'pricing mistake'. It may or may not be---this could just be another case of accidentally using Chinese pricing in our version, or it could be some supervillain level plan to try and trick players into spending more money.
But honestly, IT DOES NOT MATTER. THIS PRICING STRATEGY IS A MISTAKE for PWI's BOTTOM LINE. I will explain why.
As anybody with eyes can see, PWI has made a LOT OF MONEY in the last month. WHY? Because they LOWERED PRICES on stuff. Yes! Lowering prices can greatly increase revenue! Because people who think 'that is too expensive' won't even *try* to start spending money to obtain their desired gear and materials, because from the outset they can already see that the end result to obtain their goals is too high.
That is the same situation here. You might have been able to get away with a small increase in prices, but x5 higher is just too egregious. Rather than pigeon-holing people into reluctantly dishing out vastly more money to unlock spirits, you are simply going to have a lot of people who will refuse to unlock spirits. And this is a big problem.
The problem is, g17r3 in its base form (native stats, not being replaced by spirits) is basically equivalent in power to r9rr (PWI or boundless version). The main power (and indeed the long-term cost, the costs that KEEP people putting MONEY into the game EVEN AFTER THEY GET THE BASE GEAR) of g17r3 isn't in crafting it, but in the SPIRIT stats. And with this pricing strategy, you are denying people the opportunity, or even motivation, to try to continual to trickle money into their gear, because the cost just shot up so much.
Look guys, take a look at the economy in the world and tell me you think players have suddenly 10x more free money to spend. Of course they don't. Even the coupon craze will come to an end at some point, because the items derived from coupons are coming down in price so much that it becomes less and less worth opening coupons. At a certain point, players are going to look at their gear and want to improve it, and realize that doing so will be really, really, really expensive.
This is not right! It is not fair to the players now to have to spend 5 times more to unlock spirits compared to older players. This runs counter to the general philosophy of older gear gradually becoming cheaper and easier to obtain the longer since it was released. This HAS to be an error truly, or at the very least an error in thinking.
Please adjust the pricing of Spirit unlocking back to what it was before (or at least close to my suggestions), so that new and returning players excited to work on their g17r3 armors can actually do so, rather than getting the sinking feeling that they've been duped by you guys in a major way.

Thanks for backing up what I already believed and why I will never get g17 armour on any char. As if collecting the mats to craft it, refine it and put gems in sockets in the first place isn't enough, then you have to use powders to repair it and pay even more for spirits and set bonuses. If its equivalent in power to s3r9 then I'll just keep my s3r9 tyvm
Ah, ah, don't get me wrong. For a main-character energy, g17r3 is still very worth getting, because once you do start tinkering with it, replacing the default blue stats with stats from Sacred Spirit, the power gets *significantly* better than r9rr for multiple reasons. The repair costs with Twilight Powder is also trivial and should not be a deciding factor.
Should you get g17r3 for alts? Absolutely not. r8rr or boundless r9rr is sufficient. But for mains you intend to develop more fully, one's goal nowadays isn't likely to be to just 'stop at r9rr'. You won't be competitive unless you are g17r3 imo.
Which is why its so important that the price of spirits come back down to 2g each to open like before, so that all the new g17r3 have an avenue to progress their characters.
Give us hope GMs! Get on this!0 -
Agree that the cost should be rolled back to 2g or less.Maifah0

I just made G17 chest and legs. I need to roll spirits for them now. Players need to do that hundreds of times to get good stats. You can't leave it at ten bucks a click. That's ridiculous. The whole server (and probably the other servers) are waiting for the price to go back to 2G. If you're going to leave it at 10G each, plan on losing a lot of money.0

Bumping this topic again. Many are beginning to lose hope that the price will be adjusted back to an achievable level for US currency which will have a huge negative impact on server population.
This price change is actively driving people away from the game - we aren't going to suddenly just start paying the new price, we will just give up and spend nothing instead.0 -
I Agree bring back the original prices. I will never open a red slumber again. It would be nice to be reimbursed 10 gold for the slumbers i opened when everything get fixed.0
