Restrictions to Equipping a Genie

Just wondering. I have an alt I'm moving their items/etc. over to a new character. But their Genie is level 77, and the new character can't equip it. Is it because the Genie can only match your character's level? Or is it the fact it's in NO-TRADE state? (Because NO-TRADE State genies can still be account stash'd.)

I would tag this thread with Genie, but no one has used Genie before (and there are no "Genie" Popular tags), and thus I cannot tag it with that.

    If your alt level is lower then level 77 then the alt cannot equip it.

    Ive tested to swap a genie in the account stash.
    It works, so you CAN equip a NO-TRADE genie on an alt if your level is same or higher then the genie level.
