R8 materials

Hello everyone! I decided to make some R8 gear, thinking to myself its not going to be o bad since i had won a bunch of those r8 material packs from packs and i have a bunch of NW tokens to craft.. I go to the r8 forge and realize the forge doesn't use any of the 8 materials you can make at NW forges with tokens neither the r8 mat packs you get from opening chance packs.. Why are these stuff in chance packs when they can't be use any more in more game.. Correct me if am wrong if there is a way to still use the r8 materials because the forge seems to only have fortfication essence

    You should be able to exchange the old rank 8 recast materials for Fortifications Essences at the Fortifications : Engrave forge in east Archosaur.

    Might be better to focus on upgrading R8 gear to G17 1st cast then work on it from there rather than spending resources on R8.
