Issue transmuting high value items

I'm trying to transmute higher value items when I put everything in, it says required value 450 excess value 275 and the transmute option is greyed out. Any reason why?

It's likely that you haven't reached the minimum 450 Alchemy Credits needed to transmute. If Results shows as 0, that means you haven't gotten the minimum required and so the button will be greyed out. You'll also not see a coin cost. Excess Value is badly named and sounds confusing - it's more like a "Current Value" than excess.
