Didn't get the basic homstead items for a toon

how do I get the basic items for my toon when the quest goofed up

Double check you've done all the basic tutorial stuff - set up the farm and use the wheat seeds, and set up the workshop and wonder market. I'm not 100% sure what it is you're missing, but I do see there are quests at Vedas in Lothranis (341 624) where he can give the pack with the recipes and the elysian arena but they do cost 5m each to get them. If those quests aren't available and you have the money then you may have missed some part of the tutorial.

You can also try to send in a support ticket and see if they can help at all, but because there are quests in the game to replace the items they might not be able to help you.
