New Base Locked?

This is directly from the expansion patch notes
"An activity sensor has been added to Faction Bases. All existing Faction Bases will be in lockdown status for a short period of time.
Faction members need to increase their Loyalty Points to 1000 to unlock their Faction Base.
Loyalty Points reset every week, meaning that they need to do it again the next week. Newly created Faction Bases don't have this restriction."
So why is my new base locked?

The patch notes aren't exactly clear on restrictions regarding old and new faction bases, but I think it might be clarified a bit in-game. In any case, the restriction that existing factions have is their base is locked upon the expansion's release and they need to unlock it before they can use it. If you create a faction base then it won't be locked as soon as you get it.
That said, the faction base will lock if you do not get 1,000 Loyalty Points in a week for 4 weeks. If this happens then your faction needs to get 1,000 Loyalty Points to unlock it again. This restriction will apply to any base whether it existed before or after the expansion release.Roxxannae - Twilight Temple

Why are we supposed to translate what they "meant" to say? Is Donald Trump employed at PWI? They should say what they mean, and say it CLEARLY.0

I agree. And if the point system does, in fact, apply to new bases after all then I suppose I'll have to put in a ticket for my 300,000,000 coins back and try to sell my cs faction safe stone as I will never be able to meet those criteria. The base was only desired for the extra storage it would provide.0

Yeah I just found it in-game where it states the following:
"After the version 'Adventure Kingdom' released, players can directly enter the newly-created faction base; The old base is temporarily locked and requires 1000 Faction Loyalty Points to unlock it;
When the base is opened, if the faction cannot get 1000 Loyalty Points for the last four consecutive weeks, the base will be temporarily locked. It requires another 1000 Loyalty Points to unlock it during the week."
I would assume the info applies to any faction base rather than just the existing ones before the expansion. As for patch notes, they generally do not contain all of the information about each feature since it usually is expanded on in-game or players see it for themselves. Sometimes they can be a bit misleading because the patch notes also imply that existing bases would be locked each week, which is clearly not the case.Roxxannae - Twilight Temple

Well I submitted a ticket. We'll see what happens. I know there are bigger problems here but I wish they weren't so careless with the small details of the game. Somethings says this in one obvious place but says another or includes more info in a less obvious place especially since you may not look further because you read the obvious already. Tokens say one thing and do something else. This is required to do that but then you get this and go to do that only to find you need something else before you can actually do the thing. Blah blah blah. The whole thing seems like an atmosphere of misinformation and misdirection designed to be a coin or gold sink of some kind. It's kind of deceitful in my opinion and very frustrating.0

I submitted a ticket too yesterday but PWI has not responded yet. Typical. They don't care about us, and I doubt they ever will at this point.0 -

For Faction Bases - I sent an email off to CN asking a few questions about the faction base stuff here is what I asked -
1) If an existing base is locked down and the faction does not complete the 1,000 loyalty points, is it locked forever?
2) How long will existing bases be locked for?
3) If a new base is created, does it get locked down?
4) If a new base is created, do they need to get the 1,000 Loyalty Points per week?
5) If an existing base hits 1,000 Loyalty one week, then does not the next week, does the base become locked until they achieve 1,000 loyalty points again?
this is what I got in response
In our new expansion version, the faction Merit has been taken away for good, will not be recovered.
After the release of the Wonderland version, all faction bases will be locked. Factions who had faction base before will need to gain 1000 loyalty points to unlock the base. Factions who had no base can use 30 Perfect Notes/ Loyalty Stone to exchange for Faction Base Contract to open the base, no need for 1000 loyalty points.
If the faction cannot get 1000 Loyalty Points for the last four consecutive weeks, the base will be temporarily locked. It requires another 1000 Loyalty Points to unlock it during the week.
The 1000 loyalty points is to judge the activeness of a faction.
So to answer the 5 questions:
1. Yes, it need 1000 loyalty points to be unlocked, or it will be locked forever.
2. Forever, if the faction hasn’t gain 1000 loyalty points.
3. If the new built base hasn’t gain 1000 loyalty points for the last four consecutive weeks, yes, it will be closed on the fifth Monday.
4. Yes, it need 1000 loyalty points to maintain.
5. If the faction cannot get 1000 Loyalty Points for the last four consecutive weeks, the base will be temporarily locked.
As anyone can see, #3 is the only one with a definitive response. However, the date on the post is a full 5 days after the launch.
I know we all signed the TOS but where did we agree to accept misdirection, doublespeak, shady misrepresentation and simple non-responsiveness designed to sink our coin and gold? I have been here since 2008 and spent thousands of dollars just over the last several months and feel I deserve better treatment for my time and money. The mentality of "this is what we're doing and how we're doing it and, if you don't like it, here's the door" is disgraceful to me. I don't care what the TOS says. We are all entitled to a more forthcoming publisher. Basic human decency is lost in a corporate environment to be sure but it is the corporations choice to let that go. They can choose its return as well. I know there are several players whose position is that we should stop crying about what PWI has done and just deal with it. I would be surprised if these players were struggling in any way in this game. They have already put their time and money in and reached some state that is untouched by all of this. Maybe they're even employees of the company.

This new system is ridiculous. You invest on a base, spend time and coins, then these devs do this, and you will be literally dumped from your own base.
They did not take into account that not all factions are large, and that not everyone runs these instances. They could have put the FBs 99, TT or Nirvana as options. But no, they force you to make the most annoying instances.
After that joking they did with the PWI, I will not spend more money on this game.0 -
Well, I got a response from support about my refund request. Can you guess what they said?0

The problem is, PWI said the new bases will NOT be locked. And they are locked. QQ0

New bases doesnt remain new.
Though I agree it was worded poorly, like always.0 -

is this that hard to understand? A newly created faction doesnt have the people to gain Loyality Points and open the base. These 1-4 weeks - or how long it is - where the base is open for them gives them the time to gather more people in order to do it - to gain Loyality Points and unlock base for the upcoming weeks. Old factions on the other hand should have people already to farm Loyality Points and to open base / keep base open.
Many people want a faction with base open. It would be way harder to find people to join a faction with base closed. Its the same as trying to recruit people for an inactive faction to make it more active. You invite people but they leave sooner than you can gather more people to fix the problem about the inactivity because they want it active NOW. They see faction chat is dead, they get disappointed and leave. Same would happen with opening the base.
Side note: all faction bases are basically the same now besides the faction talents which reset every week anyway. Sooo why did you expect that a NEW faction - which is the same as an old faction (besides the amount of people) - doesnt have to unlock the base like everyone else has to?

For no other reason than the patch notes directly stated that newly created bases wouldn't have that restriction. What you say does make sense but what does it hurt anyone for a small group of people to have a faction just to experiment in a slow and relaxed manner with in regards to the building and running of one? Why does anyone care if a faction is not terribly active? Who does it hurt? Nobody. So what's the big deal? The new system of meeting a loyalty point requirement and locking bases as a punishment for failure to do so makes it a prohibitive feature for people who work and have busy lives to participate in and learn about the value and use of. Don't suggest they join and existing faction. They shouldn't have to do that if they have the coin to pay for establishment. You should be able to have a faction and do absolutely nothing with it if you so desire. It's just that simple.0
