patcher doesnt seem to update properly

So thing is it says "Patcher up to date and updating but only thing I see is a rainbow circle around news pictures thats blinking,for hours,any idea what to do?

dont think it shows progress, it will just randomly jump to like 60% at some point for 0%

My patcher broke and corrupted my client. I am now trying to cobble together a working client from files from others.​​

I started my update too soon before maintenance was done so it broke my client, luckily I had another copy on my other drive so updating that one and its working

My patcher updated, but the rest of to game updates, Who knows been running now for over 5 hours and still running. Not showing any progress other then the new flashing bar around the news picture box. My hard drive lights are also flashing sometimes very little then other times solid. guess if this continues much longer will have to shut it down and delete game and start over. (Not Happy right now)

I just tried to update but even when I first run the patcher it says at the bottom "Unable to proceed u" and that is all I can see of the msg (small, at the bottom, to the right of "Client running." When I chose Update, no matter what settings I choose, it just says the same thing at the bottom, without change. I guess I'll be uninstalling/reinstalling tonight.

The rainbow bar on the right side of the news box just flashes a lot and then gradually stops flashing as frequently for me, as the update goes on. I waited for five hours. There was even a time when it froze completely and I'd thought that meant it was halfway done. An hour later, the left bar still wasn't doing anything and the right bar started flashing again. I thought maybe something was wrong, since I did accidentally start the update during the maintenance period, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. It hasn't seemed to help, though it's only been over an hour since then.

Right now, the right bar is flashing like a strobe light. I hope that means it's almost done. It's a pity because I joined just before the maintenance/update and I barely got to experience the game at all. They should really go back to the old patcher interface. It used to be much easier to tell how far along updates were. As it is now, I can only guess.

Update: It eventually worked, after four hours, but the patcher still needs tweaking. It didn't show how far along it was until the color finally reached the left bar.
