Why do PWI rip other games models?

Why does PWI use the same models of mounts, monsters, and bosses from other games?
I know they must be games from the same developer, but still...
For a company as big as Wanmei, which makes millions (with its slot games), it seems like something very "cheap."
Not to mention the divergence of styles, since some more recent mounts and also the homestead monsters, are very cartoon style, compared to the original style of PWI.

Yes. It is my understanding that almost all of Morai is taken from one of the other Angelica engine games Wanmei owns.
If I recall correctly, the cronobike was originally developed on a private server.0 -
Some of the models are definitely shared between some of our wanmei titles. Some might have been part of a request from us to the devs, while other things might just be the devs asking the art team what can and cannot be ported over when they are building new content/expansions. In some cases, I don't mind this too much- so long as that time is spent in development of other systems. I've sent a request to them asking about carrying over some JD mounts for example, since there's a few mounts that look rather nice.
For the chronobike...hmm, I'm not sure if that's true or not - once the devs get through all the higher priority questions, I might ask them about that mount.
As far as creating new content? We're actually in the process of making new items through an art studio, so you'll start seeing more unique custom content coming through! We have some ideas on how/when we can release it, as well as seeing if some of them can be community involved. I hope players will look forward to this in the future!0 -

I dont mind if pwi recycle content from their other games in pwi as long it fits in the style and setting of our world. Since i dont play any other pwi titles i wouln't even recognize them as "ripped content"0

I honestly don't care too much if they copy stuff from thir own games like some of the art as example.
However when they copy from other companies it makes them look bad, especially when is annoying stuff like that refine spam nonsense.0 -

I would say you guys have it pretty lucky with the refine system on pwi, for example on one of their other games you have to use an item when refine (drops refine by 1 if fails)otherwise your gear breaks if it fails without said item.--/**Ticket- Support**\----/**Rules of Conduct**\-->

Yeah, I think I played one of their other titles that had what you are descriving. The funny thing about that is that said nonsense feature was also present before on some games from other companies.
However what I am talking on the previous post have not relation with the refine system itself, is the system message related to it.
There is this Korean MMO rpg in which almost every achievement you make is announced on the chats + on the middle of the screen (very similar to how horns work here).
In said game, gear refinement have other name, but it does something similar. Instead of +12, items there go up to +25, difference is that in said game till +10 there is no penalty at all. So if you fail, the gear just stay the same, however you need an item to refine you gear, still, to +10 said item is really easy to get. Once you go +11 however you risk a downgrade on refinement, for that purpose they use other item as a safeward (hello pay to win )
So where is the copy that pwe made from that game you may wonder?
On that other game when you reach +15, the system start spaming your name, said game have this since beta (if not alfa) And now PWI introduce it as its own feature, when a player goes +9, system spam us here with pretty much the same.
I am aware that this is nothing more than business strategy to try to make people spend more on refinement, however on my case it did the opposite, now i feel less encouraged to refine some gear, 'cause I don't really like to make public what I refine and on what level I do it, I also know people that feel the same as I do and of course there is people that actually like this feature.
At the end of the day I guess is nothing more than personal preference. Still I think that if they are going to copy something, at least they should copy features that are useful to the players and not annoying stuff like the spam from other games...

Because it's not protected content. Cheap to port and usseable for different things.
Note the cost side of this.
