Pick up where i left off or re roll ?

Quit the game in 2009.. decided I would give it a try again...

Main is 77 archer - Im completly lost in 95% of aspects of the game.. And on a EU server which looks liek it merged? seems laggy.

So my question is Do you guys think I shoudl pick up where I left off or Re roll?

If I re roll - what server is best to start from scratch ? I dont remember seeing Duskblade as a class is it new(er) is it any good ?

ORRRR should I jsut walk away now hahaha

lol yeah to many changes to list mostly good ones and one major bad one first thing id do is invest in a genie and some jolly jones toons just to keep up with repair costs for the toon you want to actually play.

Pwi nerfed Bh 1 so if your starting over or your already lv 100 i make sure to make 3-4 alts lv them to 80 and have the genies suck up the alts xp repeat rinse and wash.

the good news is learning most skills are free and when you do have to pay mostly very cheap and there is now an ungodly amount of content so i don't think you will get bored till you get to neverfall then you will feel like you're stuck in the mud.

if you actually love mmo and story lines and actually do quests you will enjoy this game.

if your a power monger instant gratification and are a power leveling hungry person you prob wont enjoy it as much

Personally I would start over, especially if you are not familiar with the game anymore. A lot of things have changed since 2009, they made it a lot easier to get through the early levels and added a bunch of pretty useful rewards for advancing in the game (such as geographical maps that unlock all the teleport points in the game, so you don't have to travel to each one and unlock it manually, charms, free mounts/flyers - they are pretty shabby, but good enough for starters - and the rest you will discover yourself). It would also be easier for you to re-learn the game if you start from A to Z, rather than getting thrown back in the middle of nowhere, not knowing where you left off or where to head next.

The Nightshade race (Duskblades and Stormbringer) are new indeed, and they are both pretty strong and popular classes, so if you decide to start over, they are definitely worth trying.

As for the servers, they did indeed merge a while back (about 2 years ago). I recommend going to the one with a suitable timezone for you, because most of the important events are based off the server's local time. The reason your current server (I'm assuming Dawnglory) seems laggy right now is due to some recent technical difficulties on PWE's end, so once they fix those it should hopefully be better.

My advice is to start over, re-learn the game, and keep your archer within that level range for Jolly Old Jones quest (a great money maker for starters).​​

hmm well I remember VERY little about the game. Il mess around on my lvl 77 for a week or soo to see if anything comes back to mind. I do knwo that when I quit 7 years ago I was a decent player with decent stats. But that was 7 years ago, not sure what Neverfall is, I am assuming an expansion. So as It stands now I think I am just far enough in this toon to not understand how to play it lol. maybe Ill re roll - learn the basics and I can hit up this lvl 77 archer as i get more familier withthe game again.

Thanks ! I appreicate it. I think re rolling is the best option at this point. Ill have to look up this jolly jones quest, you are the 3rd person that talked about it but I have no idea what it is lol.

I will suggest using the PWI Gamepedia. You will find a lot of information there, at least whenever you don't have anyone around to help you out.​​
