[Gameplay] - Skills - Wizard - Ice Prison does no damage

1. Log in with a level 100+ Aware of Vacuity Wizard
2. Learn the Wizard skill "Ice Prison"
3. Go very close to a monster or a group of monsters
4. Use "Ice Prison"

RESULT: The monsters, that are affected by "Ice Prison" take no damage.

I think ice prison is supposed to make the frozen targets take 130% damage from magic attacks, instead of dealing damage itself.

I don't know if it ever did damage or not, but can you test without weapon/gear the damage of a skill without ice prison and then with ice prison?

So in other words, it's an amp and does not deal damage, it increases damage taken from magic attacks (im not sure about melee attacks).

@kalystconquerer#0876 description of that skill should be updated to reflect what it actually does.​​

I tested it, and it does seem to amplify damage by about 30%, at the very least the damage done by me.
I also got these results for Blade Tempest, which is mixed physical/magical:
Blade Tempest 215k
Blade Tempest Ice Prison 277k
and then i did a regular attack test to be 100% sure
Regular Attack 10k
Regular Attack Ice Prison 13k

I admit, that this is rather satisfying, although not quite what i expected out of this skill. And if it works for others too, then it'd be an awesome stack for heavens flame.

I would edit this thread to [Text], but the last thread i edited disappeared without a trace "waiting for approval", so i'll just leave the reference material and go play with my new skill. Since i know, that i got something out of it, i have nomore personal interest in whether this gets fixed or not.

I didn't actually find anything by googling "pwi ice prison bug". If i remember by next time, i'll try to save myself all this formal effort and do a site-specific search or use the search function of the forums.

I'm deliberately not going to thank you for doing the research and taking the time to respond, because thanking others makes me uncomfortable. It's like admitting my own lack of perfection(aka. human being or should i say..being human?) or in this case the choice of not using the forum search. But rest assured, that i am thankful to some degree, as i have to take these things into consideration in order to write this specific type of criticism. I tryed a more sarcastic route, but ended up seeing the logical fallacy, which is still perfectly human, but quite embarassing.
