I hate doggy eyes title glitch

As the topic states. there seems to be a glitch with this title, for me at least.
I bought the lucky coin to purchase the item to summon the boss. After defeating it I'm supposed to get the title: I hate doggy eyes. It was a hard boss for me to solo, had to enlist help of a cleric with me. After defeating said boss I didn't get the title..... (screenshot attached).
I really do not want to make another attempt at this boss until I know this glitch is sorted out....

    Did you pick the quest for the title first? Or have you done the title quest chain up to the part you are asked to kill Watcher of the Chasm? I haven't done any title quests in a while, I farmed mine long ago so I'm not aware of any bugs. Also, make sure to check this guide as well, it gives the step-by-step for each title, might come in handy!​​

    You need to pick up the quest before killing it. The quest dissapear if you walk out of range (forexample, going to archosaur to buy lucky coins) so you would have to pick it up again at his spawn point, summon and kill.

    Yeah you have to drag him to where the title quest is available, kind of annoying.
