Is the arc log in same as the one in-game?

I seem to be able to log in arc no problem, but I can't log in the game. I've only recently downloaded the game again after years of hiatus, so I'm not sure which is which

They should be the same. Older accounts you can log in with the user name. Newer accounts you would need to use the email address for the user name.​​
