Mission location display?

Ok so i just figured you can click the M (mission location display) on the main map, and noticed if you click it multiple times different symbols appear, the most being after you click 3 times, i noticed what looks like silver and gold scrolls, a wolf and pink crystals, however i am unsure on what each of the symbols mean, as i know they do not necessarily mean its the next place to go for that quest, please can someone explain what each of the 4 symbols mean, thank you.
